Bryce Young Work Ethic

We all know Bryce is a great person. But, from what I recall of the off-season, I remember him saying he was taking time off, watching Netflix.

For those that follow more closely, how is his actual work ethic? The greats like Luke would eat, breathe, and sleep Football. First one in, last one out. Does Bryce have that in him? Because going through the motions at this level won’t cut it.

What are your thoughts on this? I feel like a strong work ethic is going to be the only way he overcomes the physical challenges he is going to face in the NFL.

You can question a lot of things about Bryce but from literally everything I've ever heard or read the guy works very hard behind the scenes. I mean his preparation for games at Alabama was so impressive that apparently Fitterer and co had to cut him off when he got to like Wednesday or something.

He does seem like a genuinely nice person so it's easy to root for him because god can you imagine how reviled he would be if he was Jimmy Clausen

Anyone that believes that he spent the entire offseason 'watching netflix'

Did you watch the first two games?

As of right now statistically across the entire league only Aidan O'Connell and Jameis Winston have less passing yards per game than Bryce Young. Only Deshaun Watson and Jacoby Brissett have less yards per pass attempt. Only Anthony Richardson has a worse passer rating.

So. Are you suggesting that is the result of Bryce Young working his ass off?

If impressing Scott Fitterer meant anything he'd still be here. As it is he is the guy who rambled to us about that special "nutritional program" they would be getting Bryce on when asked about Bryce's size translating to the NFL.

Clausen got us Cam Newton for the record. We can put him in the hall of honor for that as far as I'm concerned. All Bryce Young has done so far is collect 38 million dollars.

This is my main issue with Bryce. He doesn’t have any control of the crappy situation he’s been put in but he has total control of going to the gym and adding some much needed muscle and it doesn’t look like he’s spent a single day in the gym since we drafted him

Take advantage of the things you have control over.

I'm convinced it doesn't matter. All the work in the world can't fix an insurmountable talent deficit.

This 100%. He works hard and is apparently spectacular on the white board, but it doesn’t translate to an actual game, so it doesn’t matter.
