Why are we wasting money on RBs? Not even 2 years and we overpaid for 2 RBs!

Dude, the division-leading Falcons drafted an RB in the first. Arguably the best team in the NFC, also drafted one in the first not too long ago. We drafted one in the second with a likely first round grade notwithstanding an injury (one that some experts expressly said may be better than Bijan, who is better than Jahmyr).

Some of you kill me with the RB thing. Yes, they have been devalued on paper---they're not going to get paid like other positions due to the nature of their positiom, but they're still as important as ever on the field.

Their contracts are still relatively paltry compared to most positions however, so it's not something to get all up in arms or start hand wringing about.

That was bpa for the falcons and lions, and that was solely because they have filled all the other positions with draft picks from the prior draft

the panthers aren’t in the same boat, we can’t keep allocating high resources to a undervalued position, it’s outdated, especially with the holes on the roster, even more, we’re not in a position where we can draft players coming off of major injuries and hope they come back rehabilitated. It’s a risk better teams can take but not idea for a team that’s been the worst in the league

I feel like we should wait another season before considering drafting a QB in the 1st round so that would make me say no to Sanders and Ward. Possibly sign a vet for a season like a Winston or someone else who needs a home and can start.

Defense definitely needs a TON!

I know where you're going, but Manning is not going to play here for Tepper. Waiting solves nothing because nothing is guaranteed.

Hell I'm not even sure Sanders would play here even if we wanted him.

What name did you have previously here? Youve been here for years so did you just quietly read as I did for many years or did you have another name before?

Just a reader, honest.

Chubba as good as he is isn't helping us win games. He's great, but he's a RB! It's not resulting in wins on the field.

I mean… this is just not true. You think we win Sunday if it was Sanders and Blackshear? That cut Chubba made for second TD would have been a 3 yard gain for Sanders

I dont care about Manning and already know all the Mannings would have issues with it and I already know Sanders dad wont allow it here either so im thinking beyond those two.

I wouldnt draft manning with only 1 year of starting in college.  Thats a recipe for disaster

Doesn’t bother me but I don’t really care about money until you start talking about huge contracts like qb or de, which is why I was ok trading Burns. Now a contract like that can really handicap a team.

I have no problem paying a guy like Chuba a little bit more money than some other random rb, it’ll be ok. A team like us need guys like him.

but the chubba extension is what made you break out of your shell?

Technically I am responsible for the other of his posts since I was a nice guy and struck up conversation after that fact. If he stays and becomes a long time contributor I pretty much take credit because everyone around here loves me anyhow.

Miles Trash Ass Sanders has already proven to be a fail.

Chubba is a hard worker, but giving him a big deal before we see what we have in Brooks who we happened to draft in the 2nd is just flat out dumb.

We currently have 3 RBs 2 are overpaid and a rookie who has yet to prove himself. All this money and investment for 3 RBs is insane.

Man they gotta start interviewing random people for the GM job. I swear some of these dudes just be doing anything as the GM. No thought process just making stupid decisions that sets the team back even more.

Let me hear it. I know the poo emojis coming but someone has to speak up for the voiceless!

What are we doing behind closed doors?

You earned your poo with this post

Agreed. Sometimes the apple dont fall far from the tree but it doesnt have the same taste as the proven apples. Not sure why but sometimes they just dont. My dad was a DE at a major university and bounced around in the NFL a year at a time on a few practice squads so wasnt a successful NFL player but was a monster in college. Me, I was a walk on at division 1 level and didnt have the size or strength of my dad to play DE and was one of those wimpy little receivers. My apple fell far from the tree and it happens to others even NFL royalty like a Manning
