Why are we wasting money on RBs? Not even 2 years and we overpaid for 2 RBs!

Miles Trash Ass Sanders has already proven to be a fail.

Chubba is a hard worker, but giving him a big deal before we see what we have in Brooks who we happened to draft in the 2nd is just flat out dumb.

We currently have 3 RBs 2 are overpaid and a rookie who has yet to prove himself. All this money and investment for 3 RBs is insane.

Man they gotta start interviewing random people for the GM job. I swear some of these dudes just be doing anything as the GM. No thought process just making stupid decisions that sets the team back even more.

Let me hear it. I know the poo emojis coming but someone has to speak up for the voiceless!

What are we doing behind closed doors?

Miles is gone after this year and we will save money cutting him.  He isn't part of the equation at this point.

You don't think Chubba will fall off after the contract?

Who's to say he doesn't go back to bum as Chubba again?

I like spending money on our players, but why overpay for a freaking RB?

Chubba as good as he is isn't helping us win games. He's great, but he's a RB! It's not resulting in wins on the field.

Even the best RBs Henry/CMC have elite rosters to make them look good. We are not that kind of team to be overpaying for a RB.

He is right now. Never forget how we got here.

We overpaid for Sanders it didn't work out. Then we follow it up and do the same damn thing smh.

Better hope Chubba doesn't fall off a cliff because this could be a repeat situation.

But he didn’t get a big deal, he got a very reasonable deal. Young guy that will still be producing at a high level in four years. This was a good resigning. We’re going to need two good RBs (Chuba and Brooks) while the QB situation is getting figured out.

    • I honestly didn't like trading up on the 2nd to draft a RB with a torn ACL. That didn't seem like a great move for this roster. But it wouldn't be a bad move if he proved to be a quality starter. But now signing Chuba to starter money on the hells of that? Yeah, that's significant roster building assets tied up in the RB position which has been a hallmark of the Panthers' roster building thought process over the years which has led to zero sustained success on the field.
    • But it's not a plug and play like teams were thinking.  Ask the Cowboys and the Bears thinking they were fine letting Montgomery walk.  Ask the Texans who had to trade for Mixon because their backfield held them back.  @Bear Handsbroke down the top running teams in the league and they have a very similar allocated of money/investments in the RB room.  It's a $15 million guaranteed contract over 4 years.  IF we are paying him the full 32 then he is playing very well and earning 8 plus million a year over 4 years.  I don't think we are doing the starter/backup scenario.  Our OC even said he has plays featuring both backs in the backfield.  We are trying to be a RB committee with a RB room that isn't that expensive compared to the league average.  IF Chuba plays to his top potential and we pay out all money he will average between Stevenson and Swift's average salary.
    • I'm just reporting it, not getting excited.  That will no doubt go down with new contracts. But because we've been drafting so many busts, there's no one in house to extend lol.  Could be spent on a lot of known resources.
