BREAKING:Panthers re-sign Chuba Hubbard

Recommended Posts

This was more about keeping a guy around that has the right work ethic and leadership qualities than anything else

We’re legit dog poo and trying to establish some sort of identity around here.

Like I said, sucks that Chuba plays RB because it’s not a position you invest in but you absolutely want to invest in guys like Chuba who work their asses off to improve every season

Apparently the Niners can and other teams that were already mentioned like the Cowboys and Texans could not.  The Niners also make QBs look better and WR looks better.  I mean should we wait and get a QB in the 7th because the Niners have Purdy playing well?  I'd say they are more of an outlier team when it comes to offensive positions and success.

Top 10 RBs in yards

Henry, Barkley, Jacobs, Mason, Hubbard, Conner, Kamara. Gibbs, Robinson, and Pollard.  Most of these guys are paid decent contracts with the Niners player being the outlier.

This post is hilarious because the post right above it shows that the Niners have the most expensive running back in the league.

In a vacuum good for Chuba he earned it.

In reality this just doesn’t make sense when you just spent a second round pick on the first RB selected in the draft. Selecting a RB that high and not expecting him to eventually be your starter is just bad management.

You're making a Gross assumption.

They aren't abeling anybody a starter.

1st and foremost.  Depending on 1 running back and expecting to have a strong running game is foolish. Period.

2nd. Chubby has earned his contract.

3rd Brooks has proven what? You need multiple backs in this league. This definitely spells the end of Sanders.

why limit it to rookies?  What did chuba do his rookie year?

"Personally you could have let him walk and more then likely duplicated his overall production in the draft and just start again." This is what you said. My response is why start again? We just drafted Chubba 3 years ago, he is producing, and we got him at a good deal for right now. It also helps we have rookie RB on a rookie deal. So why would we draft another rookie? I'm confused...

So we're either paying a backup RB $10 million a year or we wasted trading up for a 2nd round pick to be the backup RB

Either way it turns out, one of them was a beyond stupid decision, just lovely.

Pure comedy gold!!! Your take, that is.

RB committees are how the league works now.  It's part of the reason they have been undervalued.  We are freaking out over a 8 million dollar a year contract. 7 years ago Stewart signed a 1 year $8 million dollar contract with us.

The Baltimore Ravens have the top offense in the league.  The biggest reasons for that is their run game.

Yes, were not there yet, but you can't ever expect to get anywhere if you keep taking key performances parts off the machine.

Lamar Jackson.

They have a Lamborghini we have a tiny Fiat 2 seater.

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.

Bessingers or Melvin's BBQ sauce.  However Bessingers is the best in the world, Melvin is 2nd.    I found this article    In fact, the New York Times Magazine described the sauce as “terrifically balancing the tangs of mustard and vinegar with a wood fire's charry flavor.” While helping his dad, Joseph “Big Joe” Bessinger, as a teenager in the kitchen of the family's first restaurants, Thomas learned the secret recipe for the gold sauce – ... https://www.bessingersbbq.com › t...
