Past and future QB review with Dane Brugler

I totally disagree with Dane that its simply a confidence issue and not size.  Totally disagree.  What has happened is that bryces arm strength, mechanics and inability to consistently see the middle of the field have put him at a severe disadvantage which in turn bryce obviously knows by now and doesnt mentally know how to fix it due to never having to face adversity.  And if we are being honest there really is no "fix" to it.  Coaches are going to have to scheme around his deficiencies for the rest of his career and I suspect its a huge reason Canales simply wants to move on.  not worth the time

His size is absolutely an albatross around his neck

I agree, it is definitely an issue.

I feel like its both his size/strength and his confidence but his lack of confidence I believe comes from the lack of size/strength

Once he realized he can’t do what he did in college since everyone is bigger, stronger and faster in the NFL, his confidence was shot.

Yes, and it sucks for us that his realization were true unfortunately. Little nice guy is probably exactly who you would want your daughter dating but not who you would want quarterbacking your NFL franchise.

On a scale of 1-10, how disappointed will you be when BY is on the roster in 2025?

Totally agree with Dane…it’s all a confidence issue.  Bryce can make every throw easily and size doesn’t matter at all.  80 TD passes in two years in the SEC is just fact.  Really enjoying the couch GMs realizing how wrong they are and trying to back step

I suspect you are going to be throwing a tantrum when morgan moves him in the off season.   One of us will be right and this thread will still be here in Feb/march

Nah I’m not that wrapped up in it.  Im just a fan of the team.  Ultimately my opinion is just conversation fodder.   I’ve never had a GM or a coach call and ask what they should I do so I dont view myself as being connected to the decision making even if I agreed with the move.  Closest I’ve come is knowing an equipment guy with some above average connections during the Richardson era but all that got me was some cool intel and a game worn signed cleat from Steve Smiths triple crown year.
