Just Paid my Ticket Invoice...

Well, another $1000+ dollars in JR's pocket for the 2010 season...

I do and have supported the Panthers as a PSL holder for years but it sure was a lot harder than usual coughing up the money.

I'm not anywhere near a doom and gloom outlook on the season, but it is tough from a fan's perspective to pay (and pay even more than last year) for a team that has done so little (as of yet) to improve itself from last year.

To a certain extent I understand JR's standpoint given the current CBA from a business standpoint, but as fans (especially those helping to finance the team's bankroll from ticket sales and PSL's) we do have a right to be somewhat pissed off.

As fans we have a right to expect management and ownership to put the best possible product on the field. Any issues between the teams and the players shouldn't negatively impact us.

I am hopeful the team will have a good draft and make so moves after the draft to strengthen a team that did finish on a high note, but was still only 8-8. There are holes on this team, and we are counting on a lot of unproven guys.

I want to remain hopeful and still do, but I am disappointed in what I have seen so far. Most especially given our biggest need at WR and the fact several good receivers have changed teams for compensation that was not outrageously high.

And being disappointed is not the same as being anti-team or negative. No true fan can honestly be totally happy with everything that has went down.

This is the first year as a Panthers fan that I feel like we are being short-changed as fans. Last year there was not a lot of movement, but we had the Peppers contract holding us back.

This year there is nothing but JR being cheap. Sorry, but that's what it is so far. Hope I'm wrong but until then...

Paid mine a few days ago. Funny thing is you can't sell PSLs at a profit. Ticket prices can go up, but the owner can't make a profit off their initial investment. Hey Kurb, if I sell mine, would you happen to donate airfare for my vacation this year?

Why not?

Sure you can. I purchased my PSL for $3,900. They're going for way more than that now. Panthers would sell them for $15,000. Not going to sell, though. At least not now.

Section 8© "Licensee is NOT acquiring PSLs as an investment and has no expectation of profit as a licensee of the PSLs"

That sounds more like a disclaimer that you might lose money by buying the PSL. It doesn't read like it's a prohibition against your selling the PSL for whatever you can get for it.

It's not a prohibition; it is a disclaimer, as you said.

They value mine at $15,000 right now; has been lower, has been higher. They won't pay me that much if I wanted to sell them back to the Panthers. They'd pay me exactly what I paid for them, $3,900.

We have crappy year after crappy year, and they might be worth much less than that $3,900 ... they simply don't guarantee anything.

You can sell your PSL on the open market for any price you can get....more or less than you originally paid.

Please understand economics.....supply and demand.

    • I know most of this place doesn't favor Bryce, so I'm preaching to the choir. Also - screw the Broncos and Peyton.   Okay, with that being said... Seeing what Nix has done this season is something we should all tune into.  Why?  His first two games were, well bad would be putting it lightly.  He looked in over his head, pro-level shocked, you could see the anxiousness.  He needed to settle down in the pocket and adjust to the game.  And you know what? He did just that.     And as the season has progressed, he has got better and better each week. All this through OL injuries and weapons like Sutton, Vele (who?), Lil'Jordan Humphrey (who?) & Mims, he has managed to ascend and bring himself into ROTY contention over Jayden Daniels & Brock Bowers.   And he's making advanced throws, layering in the second level, put them in position to beat KC the other week until the ST unit lost it. The short version of my point - Bryce's recent "progression" is relative.  This is the type of progression you would like to see as a season goes on and a kid gets adjusted to the pace of the NFL. Bo Nix Notable 2024 Stats (Through 11 games): 19 TDs (14 pass, 4 rush, 1 rec), 6 INTs, 2,275 pass yards, 295 rushing, 65.5% comp, 6.4 YPA Last 5 games: 10 TD, 1 INT, 1,193 pass yards, 115 rushing, 70.6% comp, 7.4 YPA
