Who am I fooling? Panthers are my only team, now. So long Steelers.

I'm 32. I lived outside of the Whiteville, NC area for a few years and then outside the Myrtle Beach, SC area for the majority of my life (so far). Lots of Skins fans in those respective areas, but I never got into them. Funny enough, I liked the Bengals for about 3 years (1987-1990) because of the helmets and Boomer Esiason. When North/South Carolina got our pro teams, my whole family jumped on board. Panthers, Hurricanes, Hornets then Bobcats.

I hate all Pittsburgh pro teams, because I currently live in Myrtle Beach. Anyone who has every been to MB will understand.

Sorry to hear that.

Hatin' on Philly, huh? I went to my first game (pre-season) when I was 6 years old at Veteran's Stadium. There was an Eagles' WR named Harold Carmichael who I used to love. The Ealges must have been playing the Rams because I believe I remember hearing Roman Gabriel's name a lot also. It's been a long time, but I still liked living in Pittsburgh better.

I'm 38, did the same thing with the Skins - grew up a Skins fan but one day I decided to retire my Skins fanhood and devote all my loyalty to my home team.

I'll never give up the 'Skins. Been a 'Skins fan since birth basically. I root for two teams, ain't nothing changing. I'm sure there are positives and negatives to having two teams, but I just can't dismiss my passion for my original team.

I'm sure you will always have a piece of you, that if you see a Steelers game on, you'll want to watch it and root for them or wonder who they got in free agency or the draft, etc. Then again, maybe if you just keep telling yourself over and over you're not a Steelers fan, it might work.

Yea, I've been to Philly probably 20 times and I can't stand that city. It's crime ridden, homeless sleeping all over center city, rude people, and the airport is the worst one I've ever been through.

I look back fondly on the Skins teams of the 80's and early 90's, those were the golden years of that franchise and I was lucky enough to be there for them.

Dan Synder helped with my decision to retire my Skins fanhood, he's a disgrace and has turned that organization into a joke.

So what do you want? A twinkie? A high-five? I mean this is a Carolina forum. I use to be a big Bengals fan until 1995. Once the Panthers came into existence, the Bengals disappeared.

I know you have seen the light but people that pull for other teams when they live in Charlotte make me want to puke! The Steelers and Skins come to mind b/c those home games are the worse ones to go to. I don't even go to those any more.
