Bryce Young QB School

Tall, lol. But I said it the week before, he stood in and took the heat a couple of times. You have to be willing to do that. If this guy isn't gushing over good plays and blaming others for failures, like most of last year then maybe I'll watch.

The play calling, I think, has been totally centered around protecting him from stuff by not asking him to do things he struggles with. Limiting the offense and maybe leading to criticism of the play calling.

At the end of that game I felt like Canales probably was like, if you ever want to see the field again you will throw to the downfield option the play was designed for.

Because all of a sudden there goes the ball down the field more than once, which he has been afraid of doing since he came to the team.

It used to be that way but now days what team is a regular true super bowl contender year in and out that doesn't have a top 10 qb?  You could say Minn i guess but that's just this year.

Oh don't get me wrong I don't think Bryce is the longterm answer by any means. But people want us to draft Cam ward 1 overall. I'd much rather build the team up this offseason

If it means a season of Young starting at QB no thanks, had enough. As much as I want to improve the defense, it ain't worth it.

Huge difference in this game. Biggest improvements being in Bryce's confidence in himself to throw the ball downfield, trust in his oline to protect, and trust in his receivers to make plays when covered. Nothing new with regards to throws and anticipation. He's always done that stuff. Just not consistently.

80% Redzone TD% the last two weeks is elite. Just need less stalled drives and more opps

As long as Mile Sanders, David Moore, and Ian Thomas (and even Ickey sometimes) touches the fields, we will continue to have stalled drives.

I was more interested in the overall play schemes than anything else. I think Canales sometimes is trying to be too clever with some of these plays when we don't really have the talent to execute with any consistency, especially with the QB carousel, trading away Diontae, the O-line injuries, and the fact our defense all but guarantees a blowout if we don't score on every drive. That said, there is potential there. If that defender on that play Legette got blown up on was rubbed even a little, there was a lot of green grass ahead.
