Bryce Young vs Saints analysis

Honestly, that was probably his worst throw of the game, probably should have been intercepted.   After that though, he seem to settle in and make more consistent throws.  Ironically, the interception was probably one of his best throws ever in the NFL.  He laid it right into XL's arms.

There’s probably a reason that legette couldn’t hold on to the ball, and it’s because he got lit up waiting for one of Bryce’s blimps to come down.

protecting wide receivers is another skill Bryce completely lacks.

Are you talking about him getting lit up on a different play?

I’m not a Bryce apologist, but this is an awful take on that particular play. XL was not blown up at all. The DB just ripped the ball out of his hands as XL was going down. It was actually a beautifully thrown “in the bucket” ball.

Would've liked to see it on the outside shoulder where the defender isn't, particularly given the room that Legette had between him and the sideline, but while that's a bit of nitpicking it would have precluded this outcome. Also nitpicking in that he could have settled his feet and didn't have to keep moving, but even with those it was a quality throw and the DB made a great play.

Pretty sure the reference was to the throw that Legette left the game after catching in the 1st half. One of his hands or his wrist, took a hit after a hospital type duck left him exposed.

Much of what's being said reminds me a great deal of what the reaction was after the Packers game last year where Bryce looked the best he ever had versus one of the worst defenses in the league and one whose defensive coordinator was getting a lot of criticism at the time. The next game Bryce looked awful and we got taken to the woodshed by a Jaguars team starting their backup quarterback.

Too many similarities to that instance to get much of anything from this win. Need to see irrefutable production and progress against better teams.

Saints defense was a mess no doubt, but I think the Packers game was mostly a 4th quarter rally that fell short.  They seem a little different.  Also as bad as the Saints defense was our offense had a rookie WR, 4th round rookie TE, undrafted rookie WR, David Moore, backup LT, 3rd string C, and Chuba is solid of course.  You are right though, I want to see it consistently and see some of it against better competition.

Thats something I have to fully agree with. Ive seen Bryce throw up some scary hospital balls to his intended receivers at times over the past couple seasons.

Thats why he should just start the rest of the way and if he does not significantly improve from today until the end of the season then we need to ship him on out of here for whatever we can get and be done with it for good.
