Love seeing them in turmoil but the rejoice may be shortlived as all homerism aside they could very well end up hiring a decent to pretty good head coach down the line.

I’m not so sure about that.

Looks like all that Voodoo has caught up with them.

They are about 70 mil over the cap next year.  And they only have less than a handful of guys they can move that would still only open about 3 mil.

They only have 2 guys they can realistically restructure.  One of them being Carr, which would handcuff them to him for longer.  They’re already on the hook for him through next season or 2 or it’s a 60+ mil cap hit.  They’re in a mess, and it seems ownership will retain Loomis.

its going to be a few years.  That job is about as desirable as ours was this past offseason.  And not sure how rich their owner is to overspend like Tepper

You could be right. I wouldn't bet money on it though. We've been talking about their demise for years especially in relation to the cap. We figured they would automatically bottom out when Brees and Payton exited the picture. After several years of us looking like ass and having the worst win percentage in all of sports they're just now finally bottoming out. I despise them and their city but I'm not going to assume they will stay down for long. Been there and seen it before. That's just my personal experience. To each his own.

Loomis is a really good GM IMO

Think the massive Carr contract they threw out when they were already so far in debt with the devil was the final nail

They thought they would win the division by default with Atlanta pre Cousins, Tampa pre Baker, and the Panthers.  Getting beat by Bryce with Carr in the game puts an exclamation mark on how badly that plan failed.  Time to start over.

Daboll is a curious one. Does he end up getting to scapegoat Daniel Jones?

Jones got his contract extension after a season with Daboll as HC. As such, I see Jones as Daboll's QB even though Jones was drafted under a different regime. Moreso, it seems that Jones getting dumped is viable enough cap-wise for NY after this season. Getting rid of both Jones and Daboll and letting a new HC pick their own QB makes more sense.

Daboll does seem smart enough to stick with the ground game and limit using Jones, so he's more likely to be spared the indignity. Then again, Jones may give us an assist and throw right to Horn for a pick six or something.

    • LeBron not getting enough attention he had to announce to the world he's leaving social media for the time being lol   This man about to be 40. This is kid like behavior and I'm a fan of LeBron. Cmon bro do better.
    • Does anyone else see this as the beginning of the end of Freddie Andersen? It started as a day-to-day. Escalated to week-to-week: Brind'Amour announced that Andersen was considered week-to-week with the injury. He said, "That's a little more time than I was hoping, but hopefully we'll get an update every week". Next: Brind'Amour later said that Andersen's injury would be "way longer" than expected. Now: https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/toronto-maple-leafs/latest-news/report-former-maple-leafs-goaltender-frederik-andersen-shut-down-by-hurricanes-to-miss-roughly-8-weeks-following-knee-surgery According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, Andersen is set to undergo surgery that will keep him out of the team's lineup for "roughly" eight weeks. Who here believes the Canes will roll with Kochetkov and Martin without making a move?
    • Meniscus maybe? I can't see it being ligaments or he would be done for the year.
