Would you trade Williams for Big Ben?

I really don't see how Big Ben did anything wrong. I bet you that some ***** just wanted her days of fame by trying to get him in trouble. That said, I understand why the NFL may want to suspend him because of the image that he set for himself towards others.

As far as the trade rumors, its just that, rumors. I don't see Big Ben being traded unless he adds more trouble to the situation. I really don't see him coming here even if the rumors had any truth to it and I had to take a guess at where he would end up then I would have to say the Cardinals due to the fact that his former coaches Wisenhunt and Russ Grimm are there.

yeah, Rothlisberger isn't going anywhere... now, step into just ONE more situation like this and he'll be gone, I feel certain about that.. but not on this one.

OK wow, so you're saying that 'some *****' was trying to be famous and now the league is (possibly) suspending Roethlisberger for being taken advantage of by a woman? He's apologizing for being taken advantage of and the Rooney's are "livid" with him because of his being taken advantage of. Ok, that makes sense.

i never said anything i said was 100% certain, unlike yourself. i said i don't know what happened and neither do you. i used a lot of "maybes" just to try to get you to see there could be more than one possibility. but, you're stuck on calling the dude a rapist without any decent evidence, so feel free. i'm done. try watching more matlock, or monk, or sherlock holmes to exercise your mind. no case is ever cut and dry. people lie. maybe he did rape one or both of those women. maybe he didn't. that's what evidence is for, and none exists. feel free to show me some though. maybe there is something in those news stories of yours that i don't know about. nope? ok then. nice talking with you. i'm going to bed.

If that's where you get your ideas about real world courtrooms and police investigations, it's no shock you don't get it.

Me? I've actually sat on a jury for a couple of trials. That, plus my brother works in a law office and formerly worked for a prosecutor. At that time, he took part in a couple of fairly complex criminal investigations. Thus, he knows a thing or two about these areas.

Add in an acquaintance with a couple of actual rape victims. That's what helps me see things from their side.

But again, if you prefer getting your info from TV shows and not reading any of the details about the case you're actually commenting on, have at it.

Spoken like another person who knows absolutely nothing about the details of the case.

Oh yeah. Giving alcohol to an underage girl and then having sex with her even when she says it isn't okay? Nothing wrong with that

If you really believe that's so, why don't you try it and see what happens?

(best hope you can afford the kind of lawyer Big Ben has if you do)

So if she wanted her "days of fame" then why didn't she push for the trial? For that matter, why isn't she out there seeking publicity right now? I mean, after all, rape victims get loads of fame and money, right? What girl wouldn't want to be known as Big Ben's victim?

Seriously, do you actually know anyone who's been a victim of this sort of thing. I'd guess not, because the stuff you say here displays just the kind of ignorant attitude that keeps rape victims from coming forward and getting justice :nonod:

There was already word of a third allegation, and there's actually now a fourth. This one states that he forced his hand up a woman's skirt, but she got away before anything worse happened. Of course, I'm sure Ben didn't mean anything bad by it (sheesh)

In reality, it looks like Ben will get the "Pac Man Jones" treatment (long suspension, despite no conviction). And the Steelers may be the ones that do all or part of the suspension themselves. So apparently they feel Ben "did something wrong". And yes, I think they'd trade him for a half-decent offer.

My, oh my, aren't we judgmental? No statutory rape, let alone rape, occurred in the eyes of the law. Leave it alone at that! Not saying that Ben isn't 100 percent guilty, but he could be 100 percent innocent.

What he is guilty of is bad judgment, and that's the main reason the venerable Steelers are debating his future in the Steel City.

And, no, if the Steelers don't want their two-time Super Bowl QB, I surely wouldn't take him.
