re: Banner Policy Revised - Panther Org DOES listen to us.

I am happy with the experience overall, just not estatic. My section is pretty cool, for the most part. However when cheering, standing, celebration, tauting of opposition fans or language (even slips) are enough to get looks, a brief lecture or even security called on you, then the mood is too tame for a passionate game like professional football. I've seen it happen (no, not to me either). Rarely does it get to the security level, but when fans on the same team are at odds about how to enjoy the game, it ruins the experience.

It would be like watching the game at home, remaining seated 98% of the time except for bathroom breaks and snacks, have my girlfriend tell me I'm being too loud or have guests over telling me I'm being too excited and to chill out.

That would be a very average game experience, now wouldn't it?

I've been to every single home game and have never been told to sit down or quieten down, and haven't seen anyone else be told that ... except for some obnoxious and drunk Cowboys fans who were politely escorted out after they physically accosted me.

I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, but I think it's the exception rather than the rule.

Do you have all PSL owners all around you? I have some, not all. Typically if you know everyone around you, they are used to how you watch the game. The PSL holders behind me love when I go because I liven things up. However on either side and in front of me the seats change hands every week and some think watching a game is like casually watching a game on a sofa. Secondly, I'm not sure how enthusiastic you get. Do you go with family; children? Do you only stand for a moment? Do you taunt opposing fans? Do you mock the refs? Do you get outwardly vocal about great plays or bad plays?

If you happen to be very reserved, I can see how my points may seem off base. I don't pay for a seat, I pay for the experience. I feel my experience is tamped down with exception for prime time games when even the causal fans let their hair down some.

Getting back to the OP, I have mentioned in surveys that they may want to convert a visting section to like a rabid fan section. I would be extremely willing to move my PSLs to a section likened to the Browns "Dawg Pound". I doubt they have other Browns' fans saying 'hey calm down and relax, your being too loud' in the pound.

I'm very vocal and rarely sit. I have had a certain amount of banter with opposing fans as well. You can have the experience you want, if you don't get out of hand -- explicitly foul language and physical contact. There's no need for that whether you're at the game or not. You do, as with all social situations, need to consider how far you can take your behavior.

If you feel your experienced is tamped down, then again, I invite you to sell your tickets and stay home or go somewhere where you can be as uninhibited as you wish.

Explicitly foul language an physical contact? I don't recall saying I do or condone those things.

I will keep my seats as I wish, thank you. I did pay for them. It seems you may have a good core in your section. Congrats. Some people have issue with our stadium being a bit dull. You don't, I do. It's a difference in outlook and perspective. If there were a die hard section created at BOA as I suggested, like in Cleveland, would you move your PSLs? If not, your not looking for the same game experience as I am.

I didn't say you did either of those things.

I'm as die-hard as they come, so no, I would not feel the need to move my PSL.

What do you want to do that you can't do now? Take off your shirt?

Take off your shirt?

Not me personally, but if someone wanted to paint their chests blue and black, why not?

The policy states that ANY conduct offensive to others can be subject to disciplinary actions. So basically, its an open door for intrepretation what others deem as offensive. Yes, standing for some people is offensive and I have seen people in year's past get security because the person in front of them stood too often. Go figure, it was a street ticket.

I am currently trying to find my contract to get the exact language.

Just be happy you have a good group in your area. My section is 50/50 at best. Again, I love the folks behind me. I wish the whole section was like them.

I think our stadium policy is not very different, if at all, from every other NFL team stadium policy, if you'll check. The NFL is actually cracking down on game conduct as well.
