Several things can be true 

the panthers do not have nico collins out there

young wasnt  horrible yesterday.

He also wasnt great 

the saints, like the Panthers, have a lot of injuries, and the Saints, with what 4 DBs out including Lattimore making things a tad easier 

look, the question becomes, what is his floor   What is his ceiling    Is his ceiling high enough to elevate his team against tougher competition 

i believe his ceiling and growth will never be good enough due to his physical limitations including an arm not strong enough and  his tendency to not step up in the pocket, giving up on plays too soon etc etc 

Im not a GM but i know what he looks like against the other young qbs   I wish i was wrong but no matter how i look, i cant unsee it

Sunday showed he could be a decent backup. A starter to lead you to the playoffs and beyond he is not

How about Moore's drop?

His stat line for box score watchers is much better if you swap those 2 plays. 

He has alot to prove to show he can be a good player, but today he was solid.

How about the two gift INTs that the Saints dropped?

So I guess they didn’t get an offer for him that was as good as they expect to get in the offseason.

Nobody is willing to give up what Morgan would need in order to save the franchise some more insults. Keep the kid, let him play out the season then deal with him.
