Bryce is still the future

If the last 2 weeks were Young’s first games in the NFL I’d have been pretty content

Its tough to forget those first 18 games but he finally did things these last 2 weeks I’ve been waiting 18 games to see

So it’s a start

Dan Morgan doesn’t strike me as the chess type but the whole committed thing could just be him knowing we’re going to have a top 5 pick again and if Bryce continues to flirt with this whole improvement thing then you might as well ride this out into the draft and potentially get someone to pick a QB in front of you

Look at Baker and Sam, looked bad here, but are playing at pro bowl levels with other teams

Maybe we are the problem, more specifically David Tepper is the problem, under him our organization has been completely dysfunctional

I am 100% convinced Mahommes would suck here , so I don't think we should totally give up on bryce just yet

You are taking rationalizing to an extreme.

Yes the Panthers have been poorly ran to say the least. However both Mayfield and Darnold have the physical build and physical tools necessary to compete at this level.

Mahomes? He's a generational phenom with every phsyical tool. Come on.

Bryce still has to prove he can physically and mentally compete at this level against good teams. That's what we are waiting to see through the final stretch of the schedule.

Before anyone gets fooled this isn’t a real quote

I actually would be kind of impressed if he showed that level of cockiness. If you're going to be the smallest on the field you better at least have some fire in your belly.

He threw for 175 yards….he is backup at best.

Don’t be a baseless stat guy, give me context or at least give a fair assessment of the kid. 175 passing with about three ridiculous drops one which resulted in a Int, I’m not gased up on BY either but I’m a realist he might be able to get the job done these last two games gave me a young Drew Brees feeling to a T. Might not sling deep down the field but intermediate routes and everything else seemed to be dimes or dam near. We’ll see if he continues to improve but honestly those 175 yards should’ve been around 225-250 no pick's two TDs. He deserves recognition for his play as much as he deserves scrutiny for his play prior to the benching.

To end all questions, I think we should start him rest of season as long as he does not hinder the young WR's and TE's development. In other words as long as he does not go back to super awful possibly worst QB ever plays scared and afraid Bruce that we saw most of his career so far then let him keep playing this season and make a decision on what to do with him in the off season. If he grows great , if he stays the exact same as he is now with no more development then ship him out. If he goes back to classic Bryce then sit him again and at seasons end ship him out. If by some snow balls chance in hell he actually develops and looks good by seasons end then hang onto him. Simple as that really. He controls his own destiny on what happens to his career here is my opinion.

Yeah, again with the cherry picking of the ‘ifs’.

‘If they had only caught it’ can apply to defensive backs too.

So when you start counting all those ifs and applying them to his theoretical stats, add the theoretical Ints too or you are not being level.

Say what you will about DC, but he definitely isn’t handling Bryce with kid gloves. I know many people on here wanted this.

Absolutely. Benching him looks like it might’ve helped Bryce but we shall see.

I’d have to stick with him for the rest of the season. Gotta find out if he’s actually improving or was last week was just a one off and he still stinks.

Cherry picking off ifs??? Lol this is funny I’ll definitely go deeper since you think I’m using made up stats in my opinion it’s called reasonable and fair assessments of his individual performance. He’s job is to deliver catchable footballs to his targets if he does that and a WR/TE or whoever drops a pass especially easy catches like the D Moore dropped TD I give Bryce a fair and accurate assessment on that situation. He did his job the wr let the team down I’m not giving out theoretical yards I’m being realistic about the criticism or praise we divulge upon our QB if you can’t understand that I can break it down further.
And as far as for these what if interceptions, name one last week vs the saints that I missed a pass Bryce threw directly to a defender or a miss read where the defender just flat out dropped a easy one because I may have missed it honestly. So when I’m saying he should have had more yards I’m giving clear examples from what we saw where were these clear interceptions that were dropped last week vs the Saints? I missed those to be honest and I’m no BY supporter I feel he’s trash and one of the biggest bad trade first round Qb I’ve ever witnessed so I’m not BY guy just being reasonable and fair with all assessments.

he had 2 throws where the saints defender literally dropped the ball, not sure what game you watched, either int probably would have lost the game

You aren't the first person to post that same stuff about that game.

He did what he did. There are no ifs there. That is it, what made the stat sheet. What counted in the contest. Past that you are getting into what ifs.

And if you only cite 'almosts' that favor (in this case) Bryce, that is cherry picking. How is it not?

He has played a little better, but I still firmly want to trade him for about any dam thing ala AR-15, Levis, or 3rd rounder.

I'd even take tiny towel injured Achilles Watson if da browns pay for the remaining contract and toss in picks.

Same type of deal for Daniel Jones.

About dam near anyone in any shape with any baggage.

I hope colts trade AR for him.

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
