Avatar wasn't even close to all the hype. For how long it is it could have used at least 1 more major battle scene. What threw me off the first time I saw it was that the script is just horrible. I mean like rough draft bad.

Yes it was entertaining, but for how seriously Cameron wanted everyone to take this film it could have used a lot more fine tuning and less CGI-fugfest.
