The cope that Stroud would struggle here too is absolutely insufferable at this point in time.

It's better to just move on than continue with this charade.

I mean, if we had drafted him he probably would be struggling here...but not like Bryce.

Stroud has been outside the top 10 this season, and looked downright ordinary the other night, but that may be attributed to shaky protection and a loss of weapons.

Even when he struggles he looks like a nfl qb.  Bryce not so much

This 100%. I don’t understand why people don’t get it.

Because Young is so historically bad that it just skews too far outside the normal deviations that perspective is easily lost. That or they just don't want to believe it.

The struggles last year would have been more about the infighting and poor roster building or idiot owner's hiring practices than with Stroud. He wouldn't have been as good but he wouldn't have been ruined here and the pressure was not Carr-esk if you take out the Young created portion from his playing style.

Dude is a young guy on a team coached by a Defensive guy building a good D but not building up the O in year 2 of his HC 1st time gig. Seems familiar... Go look at his output this year and not just some crappy Thursday night implosion game, I would take that in a second and never ever look back every time without a shred of doubt while eating 4 of those games a year with a giant smile on my face.

It's possible Stroud will have had more wins in his first season then bryce will in his entire career

My point exactly- that describes the 2023 Panthers in a nutshell

I think most do but it can also be true that if Stroud was drafted by the Panthers he probably would have been ruined

I don’t believe you can “ruin” the great ones. Burrow for example was abused his rookie year, even got injured. The great ones are able to get better still. Players like David Carr who were “ruined” by their teams were probably never going to be great regardless. Stroud wouldn’t have looked as good here as he does in Houston but he would look a good bit better than what we have IMO.

Been saying it for years. The dudes that have the mental toughness required to make it won't get broken. The dudes that break were always gonna break when the going got tough.

Now I will throw in the disclaimer that they can get physically broken but they won't break mentally.

I think you can set a player back mentally where they have to recover from it
