In some respects, he's better defensively than Hamilton. I was never a Hamilton fan, regardless of his offense. He never took advantage of his size and always seemed to me that he avoided scraps and rarely stood up for his teammates. Gostisbehere is a better PP point man than Hamilton and I think the team is willing to overlook the defensive lapses as long as he produces in the O-zone.

Orlov's preseason is some of the worst play I've ever seen from any Canes player in a long time. He was just bad- no other way to put it. I don't know if he flipped a switch or what, but his play so far has been the best D I've seen from him since he got here.

Yes. And this includes Andersen. They share the same focus issues. They both give up, on average, one goal a game they'd like to have back. Precisely the reason I'd never bet them to pitch a shutout.
