Canes vs Bruins 7pm Halloween Edition!

Recommended Posts

As I said less than 10 minutes into the game, Boston looks nothing like we're used to seeing.

Regardless, any curb-stomping of the Bruins is welcome.

The scorers all got the glory tonight, but all 6 D-men had excellent games. Across the board- Gost, Orlov, Chatty, Walker and, of course, Slavin & Burns.

Roslovic and Robinson fit this team really well.....Tulsky analysis has been good so far.

Also, don't want to disregard Carrier and Ghost who are also playing well.

If anything concerns me about the team its the D.  Ghost may be the second coming of a responsible Dougie Hamilton, but he hasn't been great defensively historically.  Orlov is....well an aging Orlov.

I almost wonder if Koochie needs to see a few more pucks during games.  I think our system is so adept at not allowing many SOGs that our goalies get bored and start thinking about hitting the clubs after the games.  😄

He was definitely thinking about hitting something...

The team may be better than last years team. If we get solid Goal Tendering play, we may go far.

The problem for us is that we usually look great in the regular season because it is hard to prep for our style when you play a different team pretty much every other day.

Once we get into playoff series, it's much easier for a team to prep for us because they will face the same style all (possibly) 7 games.

But yeah, definitely liking how our offense has looked the past 5 games

    • LeBron not getting enough attention he had to announce to the world he's leaving social media for the time being lol   This man about to be 40. This is kid like behavior and I'm a fan of LeBron. Cmon bro do better.
    • Does anyone else see this as the beginning of the end of Freddie Andersen? It started as a day-to-day. Escalated to week-to-week: Brind'Amour announced that Andersen was considered week-to-week with the injury. He said, "That's a little more time than I was hoping, but hopefully we'll get an update every week". Next: Brind'Amour later said that Andersen's injury would be "way longer" than expected. Now: https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/toronto-maple-leafs/latest-news/report-former-maple-leafs-goaltender-frederik-andersen-shut-down-by-hurricanes-to-miss-roughly-8-weeks-following-knee-surgery According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, Andersen is set to undergo surgery that will keep him out of the team's lineup for "roughly" eight weeks. Who here believes the Canes will roll with Kochetkov and Martin without making a move?
    • Meniscus maybe? I can't see it being ligaments or he would be done for the year.
