Do you resign Dalton for one more season?

Still think Winston is the best option. Although.. if he plays well the rest of the year, that might price us out for getting him

Nobody is paying Jameis anything near starter-level money. He is what he is. Damned near gave the game away Sunday with a perplexing throw. Like I told my son, "He'd be a helluva QB if he didn't throw so many interceptions, but he does..."

Yeah I was out after hearing about the rape. I want no part of him.

There were two incidents of rape before he made it to the pros. Then he SA'd an Uber driver while in TB.

He's Cleveland's backup Rapist. I want nothing to do with him.

Dalton or Flacco for a decent deal should be the move. Russell Wilson will not be available and would be wildly expensive. The rest of those options are not better IMO(Darnold, Winston, etc). Most of that list is #3 QB's.

Don't hyperfocus on the future at QB in a weak QB period. Get short term stability and then build an NFL roster over the next few years.

We should have multiple top 10 draft picks in the next 4-5 seasons, so there will be ample opportunities to swing at a QB again.

If not and we suddenly are able to get good, well then we become an attractive FA option for a QB.

I would not re-sign Dalton, nor would I draft Shedeur Sanders and his Shedheads.

Having said that, Tepper/Morgan will re-sign Dalton, draft Shedeur Sanders and either 1) trade him to the Lions for a 2026 first (therefore moving down 25-30 draft slots, Morgan's specialty) or 2) keep him and watch him become Bryce Young 2.0.

Sanders checks every box for Tepper:

- Style over substance
- Brings plenty of media attention
- Doesn't have an NFL arm
- Deion comes packaged as the DB coach after Evero gets fired

That's gonna be absolutely hilarious to watch. Either that, or he picks a shitty DL and Negotiatin' Dan trades this No. 1 and next year's No. 1 for Tennesee's No. 3 and calls it "trading down".

Give me Ward.  Sanders is going to come w/ Sanders drama.  We probably end up looking like chumps and are forced to trade him for some random we didn't really want and are forced into

I'm with you. Ward will be a great player...once he falls in the Patriots' or Titans' laps.

Sanders or whatever other schlub Nicole gets a crush on in April will be a sideline correspondent for ESPN in three years.

I think you move on, and I would kick the tires on Mac Jones personally. Do I forgive him for his dirty tackling a few years ago? No. Do I like him? No.

But I feel there is still something there talent wise. And dont forget his rookie year was not too bad, and he had to follow up Tom Brady. IN NEW ENGLAND. And I think he did great bearing that pressure, so we know mentally his stout. And then, I feel he can be that "game manager" and get the ball into the hands of Legette, Coker, Chubba. I also think there is enough fight in him too at times that he could rally the team in close games after making a good throw or first down run. I've seen him do it in New England

Maybe I'm off, maybe I'm not but this new sativa strain is pretty solid btw

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
