Dan Morgan is an awful GM

A lot of sources had Coker ranked as one of the top available udfa.  I wouldn't say it was a complete out of the blue choice for Morgan to make.

Steve Smith I honestly think is who we can all thank for Jalen Coker being a Panther ...just saying

So we’re judging Morgan off of one offseason and one draft. Leggette, Coker, Wallace all look like they can contribute, could very well be others that work out.

Besides Coker, these guys haven't looked like game changers or anything yet.  They have had some flashes and some terrible plays.  On teams that had talent on their roster these guys wouldn't be playing but we are forced to rely on them.   I'm not sold on any of them being good players.   Hopefully they will be, but I've not seen it yet.

Odd how the GM in title keeps changing but the decisions keep being bad. It's almost like they're just rubber stamps for someone else or something.

I said this today. You know that trade from the ravens was brought to Tepper. Today was the final nail in the coffin that convinces me that Morgan makes no decisions until Tepper approves or tells him what to do.

I'm not ready to break out the pitchforks yet. This trade is certainly not a reason to call for them. Calm down and save your anger for something that sets the team back a few years at least.

Exactly. We need to wait for him to whiff on that 1st rounder before we freak out

Why are you all btching about Morgan already?

Because after watching BY last year, there is no way anyone in their right mind could say he performed at NFL starter level, and we brought in no one to challenge that position. We have the most expensive line in the league that can't solve the fact our QB decided to chill and unplug after having a Pickles level campaign.

It's never been about winning. It's been about supporting Cosplay Dave in proving he was right about being able to apply his wall street analytics to NfL football.

He took the worst team in the league and somehow managed to make them even worse.

"Fixed the OLine" - spending $150 million and netting two solid guards is the basketball equivalent of making a wide open layup. Congrats? I guess?

Shipped out a bunch of guys on defense, to bring in "their guys". Many of these moves didn't even save money. Cap space wise most of them were sideways moves, a few even cost more. Result? Massively downgraded the defense, even before you factor in the injuries.

Draft looks underwhelming. The most promising player is a damn UDFA lol

Negotiating skills are literally the worst I've ever seen - just absolutely laughably bad.

Dude's a straight bum. Who could have predicted hiring Fitterer's right hand man wasn't such a good idea?

    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
