Bozeman had trouble setting up pre snap protection with Bryce. Plus, we were moving to a pass heavy/zone running offense and Bozeman was not good at either pass pro/zone blocking but rather downhill run blocking in Steve Wilks schemes.

I get you. I saw him get beat and look bad, too. But he wasn’t doing it with $150 mil to the left and right. And we had just paid him. The cheapskate in me is like, don’t just eat that, make him the backup.

The Bryce and him having trouble makes sense according the the Panthers way. Something you could fix.

are there any former players that have made good or great gm's? I feel they may have to much sympathy and over pay.

Ozzie Newsome was a very good Hall of Fame tight end and was a hell of a good GM for the Ravens but I can't think of anyone else off hand. He is older now but a part of me wonders if he could be bribed out of retirement by Tepp to come help fix this team.

    • I find it more like now that I have been forced to watch Young so much it isn’t as much of a shock to my senses.   Desensitized they call it.   For real, it just looks normal almost now. Where the first game of 2023 I wasn’t sure what I was looking at it was so out of bounds for NFL type play. I literally couldn’t make sense of what I had seen vs Atlanta that first week.
    • Lynch in SF. Great is subjective but he has done pretty well there.
    • Sure, except Stroud has the ability to stretch the field with deep passes. He did that often last night with ease, but couldn’t connect on many due to being flustered by the defense. BY9 gets flustered and can’t throw screens, let alone even think about any deeper passes. Stroud would’ve changed the franchise and done more with the situation last year. My thought at least.    the hope is that last year showed tepper that he needed to step back from football decisions. There’s a positive in most situations and maybe we’ll see a new tepper in the near future.
