It's becoming more clear why the Steelers were more than happy to trade him away to us and why we basically did the same.

if the Steelers part w/ a WR.....you don't pick up that WR.  That's been proven as the law everyone should abide by.

This is why you don’t fall in love with what you THINK you have. Locking this dude up like so many wanted to do based off of the first few dates was ludicrous, and completely the panthers thing to do. It would have been a disaster.

You only dish big $ to people who fit the franchise and love football with every fiber of their being.

Draft well. Build culture, brand and loyalty. Keep your own.

He already proved what he was....we often are the woman who thinks she can and did fix the man.  Robbie Anderson is better than DJ!  Let's lock Diontae up quick!

Maybe we might have learned something from the Robbie Anderson deal?

I made this very remark back when people here were wanting to pay this guy 20-25 million a season once upon a time. A few people jumped all over me.

I've been skeptical of Morgan but at least he was wise enough to cut bait quickly after taking a chance on this guy. He's just another headcase WR.

Remember when people here were losing their minds that we didn't get like a 1st round pick for this dude?

Lololololololol

I wasn't thinking 1st round comp, but I thought Morgan got 100% robbed on the trade. I didnt realize the level of cancer he was in his FA year.....of all the time to go off-script and tank your value, NFL dumbass of the year right there...

Dang shame cause at Carolina they feed him- he was open and caught the ball. I honestly thought he could have gotten a late 3rd (form a playoff team ala KC). But pitt was trying to trade him since the 2023 deadline, no one bit. Then Morgan tells the world he's cutting djak and Pitts offers a cancer....

Deal is he should be getting 20million per if not more, but he's got a few mental issues. rip life changing money....

    • Dalton is 84-82-2 in his career. Darnold is 31-37 in his career. Jameis Winston is 36-49 in his career. None of these guys are really "winners" per se. Dalton being the closest(5 seasons with above .500 records with just 2 each for the other two).  Also, every QB that becomes a champion has to win first. And not all champions are winners. Nick Foles had 2 winning seasons in 11 years. Trent Dilfer had 4 winning seasons in 13 years. These are outliers, obviously but even Mahomes, Brady, the Manning's, etc. had to start by winning eventually and then becoming champions.  Heck, Stafford who you mention has had only 6 winning seasons in a 16 year career.
    • Yea I was against Watson too, but I honestly don't remember anything about Jameis abusing women, so maybe I'm just not familiar with that story. That is something I'm against too, but at the same time, we're not signing him to be the face of the franchise for the next 10 years, it would be signing him for 1, maybe 2 years, and solely using him to help build up the rest of our players.  If there was ever a situation to look past some off field transgressions, it would be there, where you're not trying to make them a focal point of the franchise moving forward. If there was someone else similar, I'd have no problem going that route either. I just want a QB next year who is a gunslinger who is going to get our young weapons the targets they need to improve their game, whether it's Jameis or someone else, that's the type of QB I want next year.
    • Carter vs another 1st rounder. I know ersery is 6'6, but Carter looks small....too small for top 5 or even top 10.    In my book you need legit size for top 5/10 picks. You need everything including size.....Carter doesn't check the size box..
