It's becoming more clear why the Steelers were more than happy to trade him away to us and why we basically did the same.

if the Steelers part w/ a WR.....you don't pick up that WR.  That's been proven as the law everyone should abide by.

This is why you don’t fall in love with what you THINK you have. Locking this dude up like so many wanted to do based off of the first few dates was ludicrous, and completely the panthers thing to do. It would have been a disaster.

You only dish big $ to people who fit the franchise and love football with every fiber of their being.

Draft well. Build culture, brand and loyalty. Keep your own.

He already proved what he was....we often are the woman who thinks she can and did fix the man.  Robbie Anderson is better than DJ!  Let's lock Diontae up quick!

Maybe we might have learned something from the Robbie Anderson deal?

I made this very remark back when people here were wanting to pay this guy 20-25 million a season once upon a time. A few people jumped all over me.

I've been skeptical of Morgan but at least he was wise enough to cut bait quickly after taking a chance on this guy. He's just another headcase WR.

all looked like legit and showed enough to think they might be studs….but Mike Tomlin clearly can sniff it out and part right with them right before the bad comes

Remember when people here were losing their minds that we didn't get like a 1st round pick for this dude?

Lololololololol

I wasn't thinking 1st round comp, but I thought Morgan got 100% robbed on the trade. I didnt realize the level of cancer he was in his FA year.....of all the time to go off-script and tank your value, NFL dumbass of the year right there...

Dang shame cause at Carolina they feed him- he was open and caught the ball. I honestly thought he could have gotten a late 3rd (form a playoff team ala KC). But pitt was trying to trade him since the 2023 deadline, no one bit. Then Morgan tells the world he's cutting djak and Pitts offers a cancer....

Deal is he should be getting 20million per if not more, but he's got a few mental issues. rip life changing money....

    • No he just isn't good. The team literally made the playoffs a few years ago. He has declined since. The tools you say he has is "the look". Sure he looks like he's a franchise QB, but when he gets on the field he's just not that guy.   Nice kid, well mannered doesn't mean anything. Either you are or you aren't that guy. He's not.
    • He has the tools from what I saw and I saw him a couple times very up close. Height, scramble ability, strong accurate arm and a tough guy. One of his issues is the absolute poo team around him. The Jags seem to allow some good players around him to leave. They blew their wad with him financially and now either can't or won't spend much more. He could potentially be a monster on a better team.  Nice guy as well. Extremely mannerly even to a foe who stands on the opposite sidelines of him. He is a good guy I would love to see succeed and it says a lot coming from me as I was brought up a rival to his college and we all saw him as the enemy but what a hell of a good dude besides his poor choice in university. He has not lived up to expectations at all but I don't feel like it is a lack of tools. From what I could see first hand, he has all the tools including the mental but a lack of talent around him I think does hurt and there's just something more I can't place holding him back. He had the one solid year and then struggled since and I'm not all the way sure but his tools look amazing on the field.
