I don't like this year's QB class much and would try to move down a few  slots.

Next year's class has a lot more talent than this year, trade down draft BPA or above Edge pick up anther first next year..

Get the 2025 #1 overall and draft one of the truly elite talents in that class and use the extra #1 and all the picks we get from the incoming sell off to reset.

I want them to trade down and draft all defense (generally speaking).

we have a good OL.  We have young skill talent all over the map we are supposed to be developing.  We should go out and rent a good vet QB.  That should be the play.

Go tell Deion to drive up our draft haul with another team.  Deion going to make a big fuss when the dust settles this season and sees us at #1.

Just for sh¡ts and giggles, who is this "good vet QB?"

Next years class is pretty uncertain as well. People are touting Arch as a great prospect and we’ve barely seen him play. Then behind him there’s Nico? He’s struggled since they’ve played better comp.

How many of these guys are confidently above  Sanders right now?

Maybe Arch does hit and becomes a clear QB1. And then what are your odds of getting him? That we draft a good edge, sign a better veteran QB, and yet still end up with the worst record in the league?

Never really understood the “build the team then go get the QB” mentality. Say we don’t get a QB in the next draft and improve the team. We will likely win our way out of any top QB unless we trade up again or one falls to us.
Ward and Sanders have issues but they could be good and I have been impressed with Ward. We have free agency and draft picks to improve the defense.

If you have a QB that is alright but not a franchise guy, it makes sense to build up the team and then go all in on a true franchise QB. Sort of how the Chiefs did it before going all in on Mahomes. They had a good team, but realized Smith wouldn't get them over the hump. So, they put all their chips into Mahomes' basket.

I’m not sure who I would choose since I have not been keeping up with the college prospects. I know two people who would be risky but could end up being really good:

Shadure Sanders-not sure I have spelled that correctly.

Jaxson Dart-if he can avoid the Ole Miss curse that claimed Chad Kelly and Matt Corral.

I mean, if you DO want a rookie QB for your very own and want the top one or two then yeah you probably won't have the top pick again in 2026.

I am not saying I want that, just agreeing that you take one when you have the best shot at one rather than waiting.

Most are afraid to admit Sanders is legit because they don't like his father.

Sad, but it's the truth!

I think it's pretty universal that Sanders and Ward are the top 2 QBs in this draft.  People may not like him because of his dad, but he is talented.

I feel like we invested in this OL, took a RB that can catch high in the draft, drafted a pass catching TE, and a big target WR to better evaluate Bryce AKA help the QB. Now we know Bryce isn’t the answer but we still have this whole “evaluation” setup on offense which could be good for a rookie QB. It’s not a bad time to draft one honestly. Maybe sign a vet WR and extend BC and your offense should be ready to grow with a young QB. Use FA and the rest of the draft on defense.

    • It absolutely is on him for doing it and I'd wager he used a good bit of that psychology major to help him through interviews because he could read people better than most. The Panthers should have recognized it for what it was, hell, we all did, but you can't absolve him just because everyone else does it.    38 Million guaranteed.
    • No Ikem vs the best pass rushing team in the NFL?  With no pocket for Bryce to step in to because of arguably the best interior DL in the NFL, Dexter Lawrence? Giants win comfortably IMO.  Look at how hype the Panthers were to win last week.  That was enough for them. The Panthers have struggled against mobile QBs this year too.  Guys who can extend the play.  Bo Nix, Marcus Mariota, Caleb Williams.  Panthers have struggled against all QBs this year to be honest, but those guys in particular did the best statistically.  Expect a big game from Danny Dimes, Nabers, and Tyrone.
    • And where did anyone say they were? I’m saying that’s where the comp comes from. I agree they are different. No two QBs are the same even that Nebraska QB is different than Mahomes no matter how hard he tries…
