Any QB brought to this team right now is going to be destroyed.  They need to trade down and build up a supporting cast.  The defense is so terrible right now we have to win shootouts, and while I think our offense can be relatively decent, it's in no way, shape, or form built to win any kind of high-scoring affair.

I kindof doubt that.  We have spent money on the line, drafted wrs, te and a supposed top notch rb.  Not sure how much better the situation can get.  That said I still want to trade back and maybe draft a kid like allar or whoever and have them sit and learn for a year.  Seems like the only thing we havent tried yet.

Spent all our resources on offense and Bryce still sucked, I still can’t believe it.

Anyone with a clear eye can see Sanders is the better QB. Ward is cool, but he's still raw as a passer. Sanders makes NFL throws on a regular basis. We also seen Sanders have success with bad Oline play.

Ward is more of a gamble at this point than Sanders imo

Well, I guess those NFL scouts don't have clear eyes.

Ward has improved every year. I don't really agree that he's still "raw as a passer" either. He put up 3200 yards his first year, 3700 last season, and has 2800 this season. He has experience in pro style offenses to boot. He's naturally bigger, stronger, and more athletic than Sanders. That's just the fact of the matter.

So many people leaning Sanders here; get with the program!

"According to ESPN's Matt Miller, 'multiple' NFL scouts have Ward as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft class ahead of the likes of Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, Georgia's Carson Beck, Texas' Quinn Ewers and Penn State's Drew Allar.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10140858-report-multiple-scouts-have-cam-ward-as-qb1-over-shedeur-sanders-in-2025-nfl-draft

And even then, they're grading all these QB's as mid 1st rounders at best, if not 2nd rounders

It's just flat out not a year to draft a QB, no matter how bad we need one.  There will be 3-4 QB's minimum in next year's draft that will all be graded higher than any from this year

It would be hard for me to pass up this guy...even for T-Mac

If we take Burden over T-Mac I'm burning all my Panthers gear and finding a new team, that would just be so dumb to pass up the 6'5" true outside #1 WR to take the 5'11" guy who is going to play most of his career in the Slot.

Don't know where you're getting that. You just referred to what the experts are saying about QB like it's gospel, but now you're saying that they're wrong about Burden. Many many experts consider him the number one WR in this draft.

Now I'm not saying that he is, but you dispatching of him like he's some chump doesn't compute with me. Burden also projects as more than a slot guy. T-Mac has nice measurables (though not a speedster), but he's not the consensus #1.

Right now we have the #1 pick.

If the season ended right now? I think the Panthers would draft Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward. It's just too apparent that Bryce + Andy aren't the answer at QB.

Not exactly what I would want. Which would be to trade down and rebuild the defense.  Maybe get QB in mid-late rounds.

    • Best to see Icky in the position we drafted him in to see if he continues making progress. All signs point to Canales/Morgan staying on board and so decisions on whether to move him elsewhere on the line will probably be done during the offseason. Personally, I'm more concerned about a more long-term answer at safety and Moton's spot. Love the guy but he's a FA after 2026 and he'll be 32 by then. Kinda has that sign of having to let a player walk one year too early.
    • All I am saying is IMO if we were going to rework or extend his deal I think it would have happened by now.   Just feels like they are going to bite the bullet and let it run its course
    • I mean me speaking honestly per normal- RT is not even on my radar for needing fixing....it sorta should be, but I feel its around 20s in "hey this need attention". Motown could have another 5 years of solid play leftd in his body and mind. I know something needs to done with his contract, its had money pushed back into the late years like three times now. He got like a 38 million cap number cause rhule, frittterererer and this past season Dan deferred money.  I think he's been "healthy" for most of his career and seems to work hard at being able to play. He's a good player to have on the team. I got no idea how this plays out.   We need to have friendly bet about Christs next contract- I say he gets 8million per and 40% guaranteed. If he gets below that, you are the true kungfu master- deal?
