I like Allar but he’s definitely on that “need to see more” train.

Think he might go back to Penn state if he’s got any eligibility left.

Yeah he is a junior.  Going to probably keep getting that NIL money for now unless he is looking like a top 10 guy by year end....

Anyone else interested in Drew Allar? He’s got Cam size

Yep, What I was thinking.

If we are #1 don't make it a big deal just move the pick knowing Sanders is not coming. Then pretend that was the move you wanted to make. That is what a smart team would do. So we will tell Sanders we are drafting you whether you like it or not now its your move.

Trade back. The more i see of Ward the more i like him if we are stuck at #1. Just seems to keep inching forward. Incarnate Ward, Washington State, and now to Miami. But I'm all about a trade down and staying in the top 10. We need a ton of picks to overhaul this abysmal defense and possibly another weapon since it looks like Johnson will be gone and Mingo is now TMJ.

I'm phrasing this in a way, not for who you want. But sort of simulating what the panthers might do. What would Morgan/Canales/Tepper do if we go 1-16 who would we draft #1?

And another question,  who would be the #1 free agent they would be targeting. Or which position would it be? This year it was definitely interior o line.

Meh, the wrong guy. Doesn't matter who. It's Tepper's team.

It's hard for me to exclude the bias of what I would do but I think Morgan would trade back. Possibly like what the Cardinals did a couple of years ago. I don't think they would go out of the Top 8 but I think Morgan would sell.

There is just so many holes on this terrible roster, and it's one of the oldest rosters in the league at that.

Plus, I think the wound is still sore on rolling the dice for a QB so high. There is not a clear #1 QB in this draft at the moment. Everyone has a different #1 so he probably trades back and goes CB, DL, or WR.

We will draft Sanders and he will sit the entire year like Bo Jackson.

Kind of what I figured will happen. The high maintenance family will have to show their asses if we drafted them I'm quite sure. How big is Sanders even? Height weight? I just don't want any QB even remotely as tiny as Bryce ever again. I know he can't be that small but as far as a QB goes, nobody under 6'2 for me and less than 220 thanks. Drew Brees was a freak of nature and if he had played as many games as Tom Brady I believe would have held every record by a decent margin.

    • Team is dangerous right now, all four lines are contributing and the speed at which the guys play at is tremendous.
    • And every nfl player wannabe tries to up their draft position through things like the combine and theyre all basically lying though those drills theyve practiced hundreds of times that have little bearing on if theyre a good football player. The pro days are even worse. All you have to do is dupe 1 team. Is it right? No. But until teams put more emphasis on college tape vs. What they did in shorts with no defense it'll happen every year. I doubt there is a single player that wouldn't try anything to up their draft prospects.  Young had years of tape and that shouldve been what the decision was based on. Not a scale and throwing in shorts.  ( btw I think the combine and pro days are 90% a waste of time) Young has it financially made already. It's up to him if he wants to be a good football player too. I think the benching was the best thing that could've happened to him. It remains to be seen if it was enough
    • This.  Honest introspection on his behalf would have seen that size and strength were his biggest weaknesses. He looks no different. With the programs in the NFL, he could have come back to camp 10 lbs of muscle heavier. Easily. If had done so, it would have been reported on. It would have been the hottest story…. But we never saw anything of the sort, so it probably never happened.  He showed improvement this last game, likely from Andy’s tutelage. He has to show something VERY special to close the season out to change my thinking on him… like 4 game winning streak with a clutch 4th quarter comeback. Then maybe.
