Brandon LaFell

I thought he would go in the 3rd, but would have had the most value in the 4th.. I don't like drafting WRs that can't catch though.. that is something that doesn't really improve much.

True he had some of the smallest hands at the combine..he is known for dropping passes but he can play most compare him to D.Bowe..

I saw on his twitter that he wrote something to the effect of how he is "ready to get better n go get that money."

I realize that the paycheck of the nfl is a fun part of the job, but isn't it a little tacky to come out and talk about that before even stepping foot off the plane?

I just found that a little strange.

lol he seems like a out going guy..at least in his presser

LaFell was picked more for his blocking skills than his recieving skills. We are a run first team and he was probably one of the better options for those skills. If he can find his way to catching a couple passes this year as well as being a solid blocker, he will have been worth the pick.

There's no denying his talent as a run blocker. He was scouted as the top run blocking WR in the draft.. by pretty much every scout out there. But if he want's to see the field, he will need to catch the ball better.. I don't care how well he blocks.

Then who did we draft to catch the ball??? Edwards is a project and Gettis is a late round flyer with a lot of upside.

I was afraid of this immediately after the draft. I told everyone the hype on Lafell was undeserved. Should have went Cooper, Ford, or Roberts there IMO.

Dropping passes can fixed. If he lacked work ethic, aggression, strength, agility, and playmaking ability, Id be concerned. However he does have all of those other things (Unlike Jarrett when he was drafted). Give him a year on the jugs machine and he will be a new player.

All players think about $$$, after playing Football for so long and finally make it.

Lafell is one of those guys who is just open enough to say it. lol
