Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson

Clearly the locker room isn't in a good place right now but he's the only Panthers player I've seen to publicly badmouth the rest of the team. He basically said he can't play every position on the field. While also taking no accountability. Like I said. This is why he was available.

Agreed. Him throwing his teammates under the bus is a clear sign he needs to be moved. That's locker room cancer in an already very difficult spot.

Probably but this is basically over. He quit in game on Sunday and he quit after the game too. There is nothing else that can be done. He doesn't want to be here.

So what. We have the right to tag him and find a better deal this offseason. There is no point in shipping him off for a 5th round pick or later.

could we get a third?  He's good.

lol

The Titans just got a 5th for Hopkins that could be a 4th if KC goes to SB

A 4th would a massive get for Diontae. Most likely a 5th

Rams are aggressively shopping Kupp. I wonder if they’d do a straight swap to get out from his contract.

Why on earth would we want that contract?

And the Rams are clearly sellers why would they want Johnson and his expiring contract?

What?

Why would a aging WR want to come here to this situation? That man would retire if he was traded here lol

1) because apparently no other WRs want to sign a multi year deal to play here

2) to get out of the contract

Are you just completely oblivious to the yearly WR going completely nuts in Pittsburgh?

Burress, Holmes, Wallace, Antonio Brown, Martavius Bryant, Juju, Claypool. Its like they have a factory that has major brain defects as a side condition.

I am missing a ton of others but I fully predict Pickens to be the next nutcase that wants out of Pitt too.

And they all absolutely sucked as wasted roster spots after they left. AB is lucky Brady adopted him or he would have never played another snap. He still sucked anyway.

Possible. That would be a conversation to be had with his agent before any deal was made.

    • This.  Honest introspection on his behalf would have seen that size and strength were his biggest weaknesses. He looks no different. With the programs in the NFL, he could have come back to camp 10 lbs of muscle heavier. Easily. If had done so, it would have been reported on. It would have been the hottest story…. But we never saw anything of the sort, so it probably never happened.  He showed improvement this last game, likely from Andy’s tutelage. He has to show something VERY special to close the season out to change my thinking on him… like 4 game winning streak with a clutch 4th quarter comeback. Then maybe.
    • It absolutely is on him for doing it and I'd wager he used a good bit of that psychology major to help him through interviews because he could read people better than most. The Panthers should have recognized it for what it was, hell, we all did, but you can't absolve him just because everyone else does it.    38 Million guaranteed.
    • No Ikem vs the best pass rushing team in the NFL?  With no pocket for Bryce to step in to because of arguably the best interior DL in the NFL, Dexter Lawrence? Giants win comfortably IMO.  Look at how hype the Panthers were to win last week.  That was enough for them. The Panthers have struggled against mobile QBs this year too.  Guys who can extend the play.  Bo Nix, Marcus Mariota, Caleb Williams.  Panthers have struggled against all QBs this year to be honest, but those guys in particular did the best statistically.  Expect a big game from Danny Dimes, Nabers, and Tyrone.
