Depth more than anything else. I could be wrong, but I think BC is up for an extension and who knows if the team will give it or not.

Why not? We need depth anyway and Moton is on the wrong side of 30 and is going into the last year of his contract with a massive cap hit. It's not too early to start thinking about life after Moton at RT. Plenty of OL remain effective well into their 30s but a LOT don't.

Nothing wrong with wanting depth, but I was curious to taking one so early. I would say in the 5th would be more ideal.

Damn some these mocks are crazy.  Jalon walker not a top 45 pick? Campbell not the top offball linebacker? My hope is Mykal last till our pick. Dline is gonna go fast. Stewart, Pearce, Walker and Scourton are gonna fly off the board. It's a weak class for lots of traditionally strong positions like OL and WR so the athletes on defensive line will eat. Safety will have its strongest representation in years too. I'm hoping for a top corner, Dline or linebacker. Tyler Warren at 74 is crazy too. The TE class is weak and somebody will add him in the top 55 just for talent level.
