Dude had to have the hottest college coach and got taken to the cleaners

Decided to go old school and hire a veteran head coach, fired him mid-season

Hears the talk about Canales being some exotic QB whisperer who took careers on life support and turned them into stars. Canales The Whisperer has showed absolutely nothing with both Bryce and Dalton. We very well could be introducing a new coach soon.

Where he may have been fooled us the GM hire. I know that I've stated that Morgan has showed some promise, but when I see things like refusing to shop Chuba, after you drafted Brooks, I have to ask myself is he not taking something out the page of the Fitterer playbook. Everybody, but for rookies need to be up for sale, not necessarily dealt mind you, but up for discussion.

DM is Fitt. The two described themselves as best friends who were constantly talking and hanging out.

There is no way DM wasn’t behind a lot of our moves the past few years.

DM and Canales were hired because no one else wanted the job.

David Tepper is the only consistent since he's been here. He has forced every decision maker to make rash trade after rash trade for a 'quick fix'.

He's systematically dismantled this team and our culture here. He's a narcissistic idiot and we will never be good under him bc he's entirely too involved

fug this team

Canales may have been the only halfway decent coach---on paper---that would come here. I don't think that he was our first, second, third, fourth, fifth...choice.

Of all the problems we have on the field, Canales isn't the issue (as of right now)

He's not the one throwing interceptions or missing routes/catches/tackles

So, you're saying Tepper needs to make this his theme song?

    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
    • Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
