REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard

Recommended Posts

Honestly, we should deal him to the highest bidder, but we do things that aren't practical. If we want to keep him, we'll likely end up overpaying him. We shouldn't have drafted JB if we were going to hold on to Chuba. It just goes to show that, much like some here, they didn't really didn't appreciate what they had in Chuba. Now, in my opinion, they look kinda crazy for not investing in another position.

Yeah, he's a pending FA and we just traded up to take a RB in the 2nd round. We should try to turn Chuba into a draft pick.

Hes been pretty good for us...Don't over pay but try to keep the brotha for reasonable.......

Then we shouldn’t be dumping top end draft picks into RBs

I'm not a fan of trading away your best players for draft picks... but if the guy is just going to walk for nothing, seems better to get something while you can.

Giving him a fat contract with all the other holes on the roster, also seems like a bad idea.

His estimated value as a free agent is over $10 mill per year. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets something like a 5 years, $60 million deal. Are we going to pay that? I sure as hell hope not.

Trade him for a solid deal, draft another RB in the 4th or 5th to pair with Brooks, spend your money on rebuilding the rest of the roster. This isn't complicated FFS.
