What is your definition of competitive next year?

I just want this team to be playing meaningful football during the last week of the season. If they are doing this, then i'm happy.

My expectations are so low for this team, that as long as we are in the hunt and our games are close and fun to watch, i'll be happy

Given our schedule anything less than 10-6 will show that dumping the veterans and counting on no names and never beens was a mistake. We could have taken a less drastic approach and been successful. As others have said given how we finished last year it reminds me about 2004 and how we did the same thing and then came back in 2005 and went deep in the playoffs. Going 8-8 this year will be a huge disappointment and convince me that Richardson made it impossible to win by totally shutting the pursestrings while lining his pockets with tens of millions of dollars.

You act like you know what you are talking about but you don't. Their are articles out about this same thing. So there are people out here who think this. People in the media here and outside NC are writing the same things. Maybe they are rebuilding but they haven't said that and if you were a fan form the begining you would know this team has never been this inactive. This team should not be in a rebuilding mode. This team at the end of the season was good they won the last 4-5 games and look like they were making a launch pad for next season. Now we are saying a 500. record would be ok??? No not with the 3rd place schedule or a team that was close last year.

Dude you seem too be always defending Jerry. Even when he raised ticket prices on a community hit hard by the economy. Are you a Richardson???

lol. i know all and see all....well, a lot anyway. most likely more than you. prove otherwise.

so there are articles and people saying something different than i am saying. congrats on figuring that out. the fact that there are people writing about this and thinking this doesn't make it true. you would be wise to figure that out sometime.

they have never been this inactive? you call releasing all those people being inactive? btw...they have signed 4 new people. they have tagged several that were on the team. they re-signed brayton. that is activity. you are either inactive or active.

01/01/2010....... Free agent signing LB Mortty Ivy

01/01/2010....... Injured reserve WR Steve Smith

okay...not to your liking?

here is the FA activity from last year to this point:

04/06/2009....... Free agent signing WR Jason Carter

03/13/2009.......Waived FB Nehemiah Broughton

01/13/2009....... Free agent signing DE Casper Brinkley

01/13/2009....... Free agent signing RB Decori Birmingham

boy....that was some active year. so much more than this one.

i can go back and look at other ones if you want. better yet...since you are the one making the claim that we have never been this active, i'll let you back it up. i'm looking forward to it. if you can't then depite you acting like you know what you're talking about you might not.

and defending jerry lol...so what? i think he's a good man who has done a lot for the area and continues to do a lot of good. so you are a little butt hurt from the prices being raised a little bit, one of just a few times that has happen over the years while still maintaining some of the lowest prices in the league. you seem to have it unusually out for him. did he steal your girlfriend or rape your poodle or something? it seems a bit odd to have so much hate towards an old man that you have never met. you might want to consider getting counseling.

yep...that is the ONLY conclusion you can draw from a less than 10 win season.

Actually that is not the only conclusion I can draw but that will be one of the big ones for this year. Because at this point that is the driving force behind most of our current moves. Obviously other factors can influence things most notably injuries. Of course once again the fact that we got rid of so many veterans and are counting on so many backups to start and for guys not even on the team or in the league to back them up means it is inevitable that if the injury hits which it does every year, we may have significant issues with expereince or lack thereof. But since that hasn't happened yet, that is a thread for down the road.

And thanks for the compliment. I am amazing.:D
