What Do You Think About Our Rookies Thus Far?

In the fact that they contribute and look like they belong in the nfl, this is the best draft class since I don’t know when. If they end up being depth at some point I’m 100% good with that. I don’t see sanders, XL, Wallace or Coker (undrafted) out of the NFL in 3 years so that’s progress.

Well, at least the people responding aren't dogging X out like some. He's an unfinished project for sure, but all the talk of three years seems a little outlandish to me. He has made progress. He mostly just needs to get work in on the JUGS. I don't really understand why some others can't see that. I guess because they don't want to.

XL is getting himself open by using his size and with some downright good routes. He just needs to work on finishing the catch.

JT Sanders has been the biggest surprise for me in terms of immediate impact. I didn't expect him to do jack the first year or two just based on how TEs tend to progress in the NFL, but he has been a legitimate contributor in the passing game thus far. Hope he continues to improve moving forward.

Since 2017, which was a much better draft. It’s progress in that we didn’t just waste picks on guys who had no business being drafted, but it doesn’t even have a marquee guy like Burns, Moore and Brown (for the drafts since 2017).

Brooks was the only guy until this week that we weren’t sure about in terms of maybe elite. Losing two years and not knowing what he’ll be makes it a bad pick. The best value we got was Coker and we really do need to do better this draft. It’s nice we’re competitive but if we actually want to be a playoff team, we need better drafts.

Sanders has been the least surprising for me. Anything at all was better than everything from Ian Thomas.

Agreed, especially on Brooks. I’m not sure who pounded the table for him, but dang. I guess they were really headstrong on offense. I think an offseason with Bryce 2.0 will do a lot in taking the proverbial next step.

This next draft needs a guaranteed blue chip 1st round defensive player and if we can luck our way in to a 3rd round stud safety or CB, we could really work on rounding out the secondary.

Coming away with quality depth is a job well done compared to what they’ve done recently.
