I am not sure how the narrative has become "we got rid of Luvu." He wanted to leave and go play for Dan Quinn, which was a very smart move on his part. Chinn was a square peg that Evero couldn't use. Frankly, he wasn't the only DC with that issue. Organizationally, going back to Matt Rhule GM, they had literally always said they wanted him to be a DB. So, that is generally where all the resources were spent in his development. Unfortunately, he was never able to become anything but a liability in coverage, so that sort of defeats the purpose of being a DB. So that blame stretches back long before Evero was here. Frankly, Chinn needed a fresh start somewhere else. -
