Game 82: Bulls vs. Bobcats

The final regular season home game of the year is tonight. This game is pretty much meaningless to us, but it means everything to the Bulls. I expect us to come out and play hard and compete, but I also expect the Bulls to play some very good basketball to try and get in the dance. Either way, should make for a fun contest. I also expect the Bobs to recognize & celebrate our loyal fans tonight. GO BOBCATS!!!

Please do.

The Bulls beat the odds to land Rose.

Noah looks like he has accepted responsibility for his career.

If they can land a max contract guy this off-season PLUS get lucky again in the draft with a freeze-dried lottery card pick by the commish.....the Bulls will be more than just 1st or 2nd round fodder for a better team.

Which is what the Bob are, BTW.

I hope the 'Cats win and Toronto losses. 'Cause that would give the Bulls the 8th seed. That would also mean your hopes and dreams would be crushed. And that would make me a very happy man after your "attempt" at putting the Bobcats down. :)

It was not an attempt at putting down the Bob.

It was my opinion.

If you don't like my opinion, well, that's your issue, not mine.

Edited to add: My "hopes and dreams" revolve around my family and children, not a game. Priorities. Maturity. Try some.

I dislike the Raptors so I'll be happy with whatever outcome this game has. At this point no matter what happens the Bobcats are going into the postseason a #7 seed so the games are not too important. Hopefully the Bobcats can get into a good rhythym, keep the game competitive and stay healthy.

See I am not an agreement with you guys, "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME". Our focus needs to revolve around the playoffs. That means we need to make sure we are rolling on all cylinders into the playoffs. That also means we need to keep Chicago out of the playoffs, and honestly I do not want to be on a losing streak going into the playoffs when we have to face the Magic.

GO BOBCATS!!!

Nobody said anything about resting starters or not trying to win. Get in a good rhythem, play well and stay healthy. This game does mean more to the bulls.

    • Agreed on the last part. They can’t afford to lose all these games with Martin and Perets.
    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
    • People here get mad when I tell them I prefer Miracle Whip over Dukes
