Here is just to get an idea of where we stand; if anyone knows more please update.

  • Shaq Thompson: ILB - Season
  • Derrick Brown: DL-Season
  • Sam Franklin: S- Season
  • Adam Thielen: WR- X amount of weeks
  • Josey Jewell: ILB- X amount of weeks
  • Ian Thomas: TE- Possibly returning this week
  • Dane Jackson: CB- Possibly returning this week
  • Andrew Raym: C- Out last week due to concussion
  • Jaden Crumedy: DL- X amount of weeks (possibly soon?)
  • Jordan Fuller: S -X amount of weeks
  • Jonathan Brooks: RB - Will return possibly this season?
  • Amare Barno: Edge- Will return possibly this season?
  • DJ Wommun: Edge- Will return possibly this season?
  • Austin Corbett: C- Getting imaging done today
  • Taylor Moton: T- Getting imaging done today
  • Xavier Legette: WR- Getting imaging done today
  • Tommy Tremble: TE- Left game early due to suspected concussion
  • Jadaveon Clowney: Edge: Left game early due to injury

Why is this Strength/Conditioning Coach and Training Staff still employed?

The amount of injuries these days makes it that much harder to enjoy the season. Modern NFL players are just too big and fast now, I guess. Leads to more injuries from impact and more injuries from tendons not being able to withstand the speed and weight of movement.

How would better coaches prevent players from getting concussed?  Clowney has been injury prone his entire career.  Wonnum and Brooks were hurt before they got on the team.  Thielen hurt his hamstring - every team deals with a player having a hamstring injury.

The injury bug nails a number of teams heavier than others each year. We seem to have been at the top of the hit list this season.

It's a rough game, always has been, always will.

It's kicking our butts right now, when we were already down, but in the end, it's just our turn.

Players cruise through Training Camp with one a day practices and multiple days off. They play almost zero snaps in the preseason and then wham wide open effort with high snap counts in week one. No wonder everyone is getting injured. The old adage of football game shape still rings true.

Not to mention having to play on that hard ass turf every home game

We are definitely reeling from all of the injuries, at the same time this season is already lost, it's not like we had a Super Bowl roster and now injuries ruined our season. With all of these injuries, it's time to put in new guys and see what they can do. This whole season is about developing our draft picks and seeing who sticks. Clowney, Theilan, even Shaq aren't long term answers anymore. Time to start moving on.

Okay

2 concussions

2 hurt before joining the team.

What about the other 14?

We have been at the top since we hired Rhule's Strength and Conditioning coach in 2020 who is still there.

And our teams have been powder puff soft ever since. Don't give me a weight room guy, give me some farm kid who has spent his life throwing hay bales and helping fallen cows get back on their feet to work with our O and D lines.

Gimme a guy that when they asks if he can push a stalled car, he wants to know if the family would like to get back in and rest as he pushes them down the road.

    • If you really though we were going to immediately win with things as they stood, well I just don't believe you thought that. If you did, man what the hell?  My view was wanting to see signs of winning as we got deeper into the year. But I said that. This isn't getting us anywhere I am gonna go back to venting or something.
    • The better the drafting the quicker the turn around. This team could be good in 2 years with good drafting, especially given the likely picking order starting this offseason. We are talent devoid from poor drafting and poor team building from people that should never have been working here but IF that ever changes then it's just a 2 year process as long as we don't trade away our future again like last year. It's not like any other NFCS team is a powerhouse so it's an attainable goal in theory. It's was failed retool after retool since 2019 with bad trades along with bad drafting and plenty of bad pro-personnel along the way so it wasn't an intentional teardown, it was incompetence run wild. Tepper hires poorly and I'm not certain that doesn't include this current crew yet. How long at the bottom will be determined by who is in charge which is how they got here. Now that could take him another 10 years or maybe never but the cause was always with who he hired and how badly they have done their jobs and not because they chose a teardown because none of them did choose a rebuild or tear down, those idiots were trying to retool the entire time.  It's really amazing how badly they all fugged this team and how much money they all made in doing so.
    • No one will want to hear this but if you are going to be so insistent on making excuses for Young and that offense, and then removing them to put it on the QB if it doesn't look better.  Maybe follow that model with Evero and remove his excuses too by giving him players. If he has the players and it still looks bad, there is your answer.
