Today's game was a perfect storm of suck. A long list of things that went wrong with a nearly non-existent list of things that went right.

In other words, a perfect microcosm of the Tepper era.

Can't really inside trade your way to a winning NFL season.

We just don't have enough talent. Period. Idc who the coach is

I mean this has been the reason for a while now.  Guessing we probably trade Brown next because we give up good players every offseason.  To suck like this for multiple years now and still have no talent is remarkable

They got cute. Instead of sticking with the run with a RB that was gashing it, they wanted to showcase their air attack, but it wasn’t there, repeatedly.! And they still stuck with it.

Incompletions on first down put us behind the sticks. It’s like they refused to run on 1st down. Andy was off. The whole line was off, but Chuba was still beasting. Dude could have run for 150 yards and 2 TDs easily, and the game would have been competitive. On first and goal, he got 1 touch.

Something was off. There was just a weird vibe. Energy wasn’t there, like something else was going on.

The OL might have been on if the defense wasn't throwing them off.

I don't think 150 yards and 2 TDs from Chuba was doing poo to help our defense.

I think they had a 35 second drive, and then a 55 second drive right behind it. You can't compete if that's the best you can do.

Defense got the biggest beat down I’ve ever seen in a Panthers game. I don’t understand how we continually have everyone injured. In this type of game, if we could have at least tried to keep their offense off the field it maybe wouldn’t have been completely humiliating.

They had no answer for Chuba and he was getting us first downs. Then they went full moron and kept calling plays the defense was begging them to play. Then we couldn’t buy a first down and it was a wrap at that point.

Also, the Raiders and Bengals just have bad defenses.

It’s ballgame when this team sees decent defense

The Raiders best DL was hobbled against us and they just aren’t good on defense overall.  The offense is terrible as well

Haven't paid much attention to the players drafted, signed, and traded for since Tepper has bought the team, have you? Other than RAS scores, the other thing they all have in common is being injured, coming off an injury, or a history of injuries.

My friend who is a lifelong Chicago native and Bears fan sent me a message saying "wtf?"

This is what I texted back:

"Bro, I'm at work, but I watched a few times where I could, but it's about what I expected...  nothing says Panthers like making a struggling rookie QB that you essentially traded away look like the second coming of Tom Brady while the QB you traded for didn't even start because he's likely the worst starting QB with a min 16 games ever drafted in NFL history.  All while the WR you traded away to get said shitty QB whoops your ass in the process too.  I knew it was coming, man.  And I honestly don't even care anymore.  We have become what the Browns used to be and I don't see it turning around anytime soon.  The 2025 QB class looks pretty ass after Shadeur, Ewers, and maybe Ward."

I have ZERO hope for the future.  Even if Morgan is a great GM, we have a long, long, long road ahead.  I don't think there's any light at the end of the tunnel right now.  Not with Tepper as owner.  God, this is embarrassing.

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
