At least we’re not the Browns

We are the new Browns. They are locked into a horrible QB contract, but we will be in QB hell the samE amount of time they will be so what’s the point of comparing?

Not really. Bryce’s contract is a tiny fraction of what Watson is getting. If we go QB in draft and happen to luck into the right guy, problem solved.

Isnt Watsons dead cap number near 200 mil or something crazy?  Hes virtually uncutable and they gave up a ton for him.

It wasn't for lack of effort. We tried very hard. We don't deserve any credit for losing the sweepstakes we were absolutely trying to win.

I'd agree...

Marty Hurney got saved from a fair number of dumb moves by someone else making them first.

That particular brand of luck probably also applies to David Tepper.

Yeah, we could at least build a better team in the meantime if we intelligently use our resources. Now try to say that aloud without laughing. LOL

    • That seems to be the general consensus...
    • Dalton has looked consistent and good when allowed to attack. Last week were dropped balls and poor pass blocking. This week was a complete collapse by the offensive and defensive game plans. They got the lead and thought they could slow play the rookie QB. Evero failed to hide defenders and trick Williams into mistakes. It looked awful for an NFL DC. The game plan was to lean on Evero with a lead to wait for Williams to make rookie mistakes. Evero can't be trusted to keep a game close. Dalton was asked to be a game manager with the lead this week, and Canales waited too late to let Dalton attack deep. Canales trusted Evero to handle a rookie QB, and Evero tanked it by the end of the first half.
    • Just because you don't want to lose doesn't mean you know how to win. Tepper has no idea what he's doing and it's showed. We've been a revolving door at QB trying to find lightning in a bottle. We've got guys making major decisions getting it wrong more times than a freaking fan message board. There's no real plan in building a team. We're throwing poo at the wall to see what sticks, but the only thing we're left with is gobs of poo everywhere.
