This is what ive noticed the most.  Even earlier in the game when the score was closer chubba would consistently run for 5-10 yards a carry and Canales would immediately start passing the ball. Bizzare play calling considering Chubba has been the only productive offensive player we've had thus far

I'm listening to the game because of work. Is Diontae Johson playing? He hasn't done much this game for some reason

This is so baffling to me. They were beating these dudes up running the ball. Right up the gut. Chuba goes the distance…. They haven’t found a way to slow him down yet. He could easily be at 75 yards already. And then they go full on air mail?

Did Tepper insert some plays he wanted run? This is so opposite to the last 2 weeks. Something is very different.

It’s the Fitterer bowl. It’s basically the Panthers (team he built) versus the Bears (where he sent our trash). It’s funny that we would would take each individual piece of that trade over Young now:

2023 pick 9, 2023 2nd rounder, 2024 pick 1, DJ Moore and 2025 pick 33.

Somehow we traded it all. SMH.

Remember Fitt's motto? In on every deal!! He was in a lot of deals but there isn't a single deal that he got right. What a buffoon he was, he set this franchise back decades.

Ejiro Evero talks about Panthers’ familiar free-agent signings (usatoday.com)

Quote

Defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, who was retained through the transition into new head coach Dave Canales, spoke with reporters on Thursday afternoon. He was asked about a few of the front office’s free-agent signings, particularly the ones he has a history with.

“The first part is that those guys are all very, very good football players,” Evero said. “They’re smart, they’re tough, they’re instinctive, they play hard, they’re great teammates. So from that standpoint, they uplift their team.”

Evero will be reunited with linebacker Josey Jewell, whom he coached as the Denver Broncos defensive coordinator in 2022, as well as defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson and safeties Jordan Fuller and Nick Scott—his guys over from the Los Angeles Rams days. They’ll all look to add to the defense that allowed the fourth-fewest total yards in 2023.

They gave him a miniscule budget and told him to make it work - so he picked up players from the absolute bottom of the bargain bin that had played for him before.

You don't think he actually wants his starting LBs to be Thompson and Jewell, right? I can't even name the starting DL, they're that poor.

Lets not forget that we passed over Ryan Poles, their GM in favor of Scott Fitterer because Fitt was able to joke back and forth with Rhule and Tep. And he Fleeced us on the trade that now has us devoid of talent. FUGGG Lol

You cant make this crap up

Yeah.  He got guys he wanted within the structure and budget we were operating under.

we went into the season knowing we had zero pass rush and were questionable across the board.  Evero being able to have influence of which items in the discount bin he preferred….isn’t roster control.

Dan Morgan went into the season with this roster.  The plan was to get the O out of the gutter.  If they did that….the D was always setup to be the fall guy.

This is a historically bad defense. If you don't think the man in charge of it deserves some blame then I don't know what to tell you.

It was a compliment . Jaycee is a lock down corner and putting the league on notice this year .

He'll be the next player to leave Charlotte because we don't actually like having good players on this roster.

    • That seems to be the general consensus...
    • Dalton has looked consistent and good when allowed to attack. Last week were dropped balls and poor pass blocking. This week was a complete collapse by the offensive and defensive game plans. They got the lead and thought they could slow play the rookie QB. Evero failed to hide defenders and trick Williams into mistakes. It looked awful for an NFL DC. The game plan was to lean on Evero with a lead to wait for Williams to make rookie mistakes. Evero can't be trusted to keep a game close. Dalton was asked to be a game manager with the lead this week, and Canales waited too late to let Dalton attack deep. Canales trusted Evero to handle a rookie QB, and Evero tanked it by the end of the first half.
    • Just because you don't want to lose doesn't mean you know how to win. Tepper has no idea what he's doing and it's showed. We've been a revolving door at QB trying to find lightning in a bottle. We've got guys making major decisions getting it wrong more times than a freaking fan message board. There's no real plan in building a team. We're throwing poo at the wall to see what sticks, but the only thing we're left with is gobs of poo everywhere.
