This is so true.  We got drubbed by 10 at home vs a Bengals teams who defense is almost as bad as ours and the sentiment is "at least we were competitive."  Thats how bad its gotten.  I wonder how long that thinking will hold up... if we end up 3-10 or 4-11 down the stretch will people still still be ok with just being competitive?

basically.  yeah.  Bar is so low that just not being lifeless is good.  

and now we are demanding 1st round trade compensation just because a dude the league rejected caught a couple balls against bad teams.   I could of beat that Bengal defender last week given how bad he was playing.  Everyone ran by him all game long.

Honestly yes. 4-11 while being theoretically able to win most games is about the best case scenario for this season, especially with the defensive injuries we've sustained. It would give us the platform to build the roster based off of what Canales and his system requires. We're also gonna dump a bunch of dead cap this offseason so we should be able to play around in FA.

Improvement is what we're looking for, and 4-11 while being competitive is miles ahead of where we were last year.

I haven't had a shred of hope since draft night 2023, until they benched draft night 2023. 

Which was a decline from the very little hope I had since Tepper bought the team

I remember when we had LUKE in the scouting dept., then he was out the next year. I bet he left cuz no one listened to him or actually watched tape. It’s probably like RAS this and Nicole likes this one and let’s pick the hurt guy and prove everyone wrong!
