He can stop playing his DBs 10 yards off the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 6.

The last thing we need to be doing is blowing up the defensive side of the ball and starting from scratch there again next year, just when things are being worked out on offense. Evero deserves an off-season where the focus is on that side of the ball, and not shopping in the bargain bin for cast-offs.

I don't agree with the incredibly unrealistic expectations some fans might have. The defense ended up being without more than half of its starters that they were looking at leading into the offseason (Derrick Brown, Shy Tuttle, DJ Wonnum, Shaq Thompson, Josey Jewell, Jordan Fuller, Dane Jackson). To make up for it, Evero is leaning heavily on the bend but don't break philosophy.

That side of the ball could definitely use more talent. The way they've performed with the secondary and pass rush in flux the way it has has been impressive to me. They've been starting games with solid energy but you can tell they're worn down even with the offense starting to hum. Depth is being tested early... but hopefully that means getting all of these guys back from injury will help with the talent level.

This I agree with.  An aggressive creative DC can scheme up pressure from time to time the same way a good OC can scheme receivers open.  I think Evero is a pretty decent DC, I just personally prefer a more aggressive style.

      One thing this has shown me is just how crazy things can get so quickly. I'm not talking about the flooding and trees down and that stuff. I'm talking about people. A lot of folks just fall apart pretty damn quickly. People were pulling guns on each other hours into a power outage over access to gas pumps. Stores were getting robbed because everything was cash only so they were cash rich easy targets. If these new tropical storms forming end up tracking through this area poo is going to go from bad to apocalyptic.

      I am optimistic because Canales actually seems like an NFL caliber head coach and Morgan seems to be a NFL caliber GM, which is something the Panthers haven’t had in a long time. I’m not optimistic because the QB situation is FAR from settled. But at the very least they seem to have finally hit on the administration.
