I realize nobody pays attention to details and how things work.

How aid has always worked. They are not given cash. US companies are paid to produce items that are sent to these countries. The money stays here.

If you all of sudden care about infrastructure then support the lawmakers who vote to fund infrastructure products not against them.

Ive been in this sector before, heres a tip. Most of these weapons somehow dont make to the countries, for "unknown" reasons. It is very odd they never ask for food, clothes, or medical? O and please reply back to me when these countries send American aid for disasters, Ill wait... Help the people that are here, the Americans first.

I know we are all very very upset

It is important to remember some of this discussion isn’t helpful

Not trying  to upset anyone but to think this catastrophe is not important or other worldwide issues are more important to the President or the Governors is  poor.

Never in my life did I think western NC would go through this   Never   One of my favorite places on Earth

I sadly believe  it is going to be the first of many.  The Earth is angry.

All we can do right now is send money or food or supplies to local groups.

FEMA and National Guard and groups from other states and Canada are trying to help

We all know these things

there is plenty of time to discuss tactical to strategic and issues with the govt, that time isn’t now in my opinion.

Maybe Zod or one of the moderators could find a way for Huddlers to donate money or food to one of the local food banks or local church charities in Asheville or other cities close by.  Doing something positive is what is needed now.

I moved to CA   I don’t have the contacts or I would do it.

Carlin made a joke about the earth shaking us off in one of his standup specials once. He might have been spot on.

    • I respect Deion but I said and thought immediately when he was hired there he would not be the coach after 3 seasons.  I don’t see it happening
    • If my reply comes off argumentative, that is not my intention so please don’t take it as such.  You said one word, probably subconsciously, in your post that immediately disqualifies him from being a QB in the NFL. You actually said it twice. Kid. It’s exactly how you see him, and exactly how the rest of the entire NFL sees him as well.  Yes, he is a kid, he looks and acts like a kid and that exactly IS the problem. The NFL is for grown ass men. Period. Hell, our kicker looks like he collects ‘taxes’ as a side hustle. These are straight dudes. Men.  Nothing in his persona changed from last year to this.  Nothing in his physical stature. Nothing. He has shown 0 development. 0. And he disrespects the entire organization, talking video games and Netflix in the offseason. Bro. Really. My man Chuba is busting his ass to look good for his second contract. Set himself up for life. How many RBs make it to even sign contract #3? First 2 games he has to run in to a brick wall continuously because Netflix can’t even get it over the LOS.  He’s a kid who pulled off the biggest heist in world history. He looks happier on the sideline goofing around than he ever has looked on the field. It’s time to cut bait.
    • I hear you and I can imagine it's frustrating as a fan, but UNC-CH leaving the ACC would be throwing away over a century of history. It would really suck if y'all, or Clemson, or any of the other remaining charter members leave. I still think it sucks that Maryland left as well. Feels so wrong not having that rivalry anymore. Maryland fuging hated us and I loved it. Who's Maryland's rival now in the big 10? Rutgers? lol. Also, I think that the Heels are more likely to be Kentucky 2.0 than you are to get serious about football upon joining the SEC. Both UNC (and also Duke's) administrations seem very stuck in their ways with sticking to their ways and remaining basketball powerhouses. I do wish we could see NC teams actually competing in my favorite sport sometimes but alas. I personally value keeping our history intact over trying to become top flight CFB programs because nowadays it's just a pay to win sport anyways. Even if UNC-CH got serious I doubt they could compete with that Texas oil money, or that Oregon nike money, or that USC rich kid money. That's all top level college football really is anymore. You're either an established blue blood or you're willing to waste tons of money that could be spent on education rather than football.
