Bryce played his best of his career doing his job on Sunday, so why trade him now?

I think we have a head coach that knows how to use him, but sure send down to that weird dude in MIami if he'll have him. I'd like to see that.

Bryce was historically bad. He had like four drives total to point to over an entire season where he looked like a competent QB, and none where he looked elite (or hardly even as good as Dalton on Sunday).

But... Would we get more for him in the off-season?  Would we possibly be in a situation where playing him is good for us (aka if Dalton is injured and we're not looking competitive even with him)?

Tho maybe if Dalton keeps balling out, BY or his surrogates force an exit.

I honestly don't think a 4th is worth it. I would like to think there is another franchise that is as dumb as us that would give up a second rounder like we did for darnold a few years ago

Not sure there is any reason to trade him at this point.  

Having him on the roster, watching and learning isn't hurting anyone or anything, except for the fans that absolutely hate him.

He is a distraction that players and coaches have to talk about in interviews, and the fear that he may start again and he has to give off negative energy in the locker room 

It would be best for the team to show we are moving on from our mistake , and rally behind Dalton to get what we can out of this season 

And we don't hate Bryce the person, he just can't play Qb in this league, and we have given him enough time to improve, but he is getting worse, and shows no drive or determination to work to get better

He is a liability even as a back-up, and we will eventually have to release him unless we can fleece another team like Bryce did to us to trade for him

The media distraction will fade if Dalton keeps being successful. If we ascend to a 5+ win team this season, most of the national media will ignore the Bryce storyline until the offseason(minus the trade deadline week).

High unlikely that 36 year old Andy Dalton stays healthy all year. There will be one last opportunity for Bryce to prove himself and his fabled work ethic and I think seeing that out is worth more than a fourth rounder, even if it means we get nothing for him. In the meantime we should sign a capable backup and it's on Bryce to beat him for the #2 spot outright.

Is he a buzzkill to keep around? Maybe, but this is where the soft spoken personality helps him. If he's just hanging out he'll fade into the background. If he shows effort to save his career that will reflect positively on his teammates.

A third round pick I'd say would be worth cutting our losses now.
