What do we KNOW?

- This o-line is excellent. And has been 3 straight games.

- We have weapons and they ARE getting open.

- Chuba is a very solid RB who can catch.

- We have a great kicker.

What do we SUSPECT?

- Andy is a solid enough veteran that he will at least be able to keep the offense on the field a lot of times.

-Some of these players like Horn and Clowney will benefit with less time on the field. And the D will play better overall when we'll rested.

I think this is a good foundation.

Also, Legette looks good.  I did not advocate for him high in the second (eventually a 32nd pick), but I will admit, the guy looks really promising.

A lot of good stuff today.

DALTON, Hunt, Lewis, Corbett, Legette, Diontae, Chuba, Jewell, Jackson, Ray (this dude showed UP)

So when you have a guy who can keep the offense on the field, it helps the entire team, offense & defense out.  Gives the defense breathers, gives the WRs placement, opertes in the pocket to make the OL look sharp.  Everything was just fine tuned and balanced.

Honestly, one of the most both balanced and vertical offenses I've seen on this team in forever.  This was one of the best days in forever, well above a ton of Rivera & Fox squads.

Cam and Jake went down field often.

All true, but I think having a functional QB changed the complexion of the entire team and the game.  They couldn't impose their will, be it the pass, run, or defensively, because we had balance and the defense stayed fresh.  Dalton really made the game entirely different.

Yeah. Just looking at their offensive issues.

It's also worth considering, he isn't just the worst #1 pick ever, he may be the worst starting QB ever to have logged that many attempts/starts.  He's so bad.

Stats and eye test both back that up.  I mean, it is absolutely insane what we were able to do today, and against a solid defense.  Very similar pockets, play calls, and attempted offensive cadence.

  • YPA is the worst in modern history (and we're in a passing oriented era)
  • The success rate is historically bad
  • And the size.  Just have to be honest.  I thought he could overcome it pre-draft with his intangibles, but accept I was wrong.  Historically the smallest QB frame wise in the history of the league and a bottom-5 starter arm.

It's hard to lose sight of how bad he's been even in the win today.  I hate to pile on, but it's super hard to ignore after this offense's output.

Just...damn.

One of the best plays XL made today imo wasn't even a catch. Dalton lofted one out of bounds over his head. XL was able to change direction and track the ball like a center fielder. That is actually much more difficult and not natural for a lot of guys. It's also a good sign that he has some potential that's untapped there. I am very excited about him moving forward, he may be our Nuk Hopkins (not in terms of player comp but a very very good WR drafted at the end of round 1)

This is absolutely not true.  We should wait till the offseason

If we wait until the off-season, we're not getting anything but a day three pick. The time to do it is before the trade deadline. Lord forbid that he has to come in and stink up the place again.

We're fuged either way.

Mind you, I'm not a gambler, but I made a little change off X today.

Yep. That’s why I said a ton instead of all. Steve w/George had a few monsters, Jake 2003-2006 was great QB play, especially for that era. Jake had a cannon in his prime that is overlooked. And Cam 2012-2017 was chef’s kiss.

But seriously, that first half was something else today
