Panthers need to move on from Young ASAP

I agree the best thing would be for panthers to trade him for anything and move on.  He is terrible with no hope.  Tepper is terrible also but if he had chosen stroud instead the panthers are were rhe texans are now.  So as bleak as it looks the panthers are only a great qb away from being competitive.   With that said young on the roster does nothing at all he is not the future its obvious.

I gotta admit. This whole season so far has been way more of a hot topic than I thought it was gonna be. This team sucks and is still in the news more than anybody else. Far as the trade,  I'm going to agree. I think right now is the most you probably get for him....lets say dalton comes out and lights it up and even just completely rejuvenates the team. It will just confirm more that Bryce has been the problem and lower his value. Just a hypothetical but it might be smart to jump a trade now.

The only problem is Andy is not capable of lighting anyone up anymore. The more likely outcome is that Andy plays ok but nothing special. They still lose and the Panthers still look like idiots. So no, a knee-jerk trade is the last thing they need to do.

"okay, but nothing special" would be a huge upgrade over "possibly the worst QB in NFL history".

Bryce's peak value is right now. It will drop every week. He should be traded right now.

For all we know okay play is all we need just to look competent. Nobody is expecting dalton to play like a pro bowler. Hell..Nobody is even expecting playoffs. Losing needs to be in context...we can go out and move the ball, score points and still lose.... it looks significantly different. We actually get productuon out of our offensive players. BRYCE WASNT EVEN GIVING US THAT. That's how bad it was. We are already idiots for being in this situation but fielding a offense that looks decent is still an improvement even if small. It's not about wins and losses as that wasn't even a high expectation to begin with but having offense THAT bad over the last couple games is just inexcusable with the pieces we have. If you still aren't grasping that yet I dont know what to tell you.

Bruh, you need to realize that he doesn't have much value. Manage the cap hit appropriately and that's about it.

It just is what it is from here on out.

There is no Brian Burns deal at the end of this rainbow. More like a Justin Fields/Josh Rosen deal.

He's the problem. He took Bryce. He changed the culture. This is his mess!

Well he ain't going anywhere so gotta deal with realistic options; not referring to the OP's suggestions, but in general.

All we can hope is that Tepper learned his lesson, and has stopped the incessant meddling....which honestly seems to be the case since Dan, Brad, and Dave have been on board.

There is no incentive to getting rid of him right now.

1.  It's highly unlikely he will be a locker room cancer.

2.  Trade value will be highest in offseason before the draft

3.  We might need him as a backup and he knows the system.

4.  Maybe he actually regains some confidence and get better (unlikely but still).

I'm saying this honestly, but...does he? It sure doesn't look like he did the first two games.

It's going to be awkward having him around because he hasn't exactly been someone that is trying to uplift the offensive players around him on the sideline. I get the vibe there has been a major sigh of relief from the roster as a whole.

If you can get something for him at this point you take it and move on.

Not with that cap figure you don't. And he has absolutely been trying to uplift guys on the sideline, it was reported multiple times on Sunday. The problem was he was spending too much time apologizing and not enough actually trying.

    • lol It's 2 games in with a broken QB it's too early to tell. I hope Canales works out but this is still funny.
    • Man there truly is no helping the stupid that litters this place
    • This backlash has truly been sad and was part of the reason I believe Bryce was drafted in the first place. He was small and looked like a kid and everybody just loved that he was also good at football. Once I heard CJ Stroud talking on his podcast tour this summer, I was like well that is the reason he isn't here. I remember the hatred for Cam that basically arose out of him being a massive, confident, black man. Every time a new broadcast crew met him during warmups the telecast was just about how larger than life he was. I even had a friend who is close to Cam's size talk about him sucking the air out of every room goes into like being big, loud, and confident is a bad thing. And many here along with the media never showed any sympathy, empathy, or a second thought to the shite Cam had to put up with while here. Till this day it is either about the stupid fumble that didn't matter that he didn't jump on, or that he only had like one good year.  So to see this crazy backlash from the sports and social media regarding Canales benching a small, weak, entitled, non verbal QB who is playing terrible, struggling to recognize defenses, missing open WRs, and leaving clean pockets is mind blowing! Only Chase Daniels watched the film before talking this week. Everyone else used it as an opportunity pine for Bryce and crap on organization. Again, I hope someone is dumb enough to give us Josh Rosen compensation for him.
