Funny Stuff from Tyrell Sutton on Twitter

Sutton is the man. He is also NOT a FB which everyone seems to think he is. He is much better suited to run screens / catch passes out of the backfield. Very quick, small, good hands.
he does well as a FB and if that gets him on the field more then so be it.

you make it sound like a derogatory comment. i see him like a smaller le'ron mcclain in baltimore. dude can do it all when asked.

At 5'8" and 213 he is short but not that little. He is an inch shorter and 4lbs lighter than DeAngelo Williams. I think he is pretty light for a FB but okay for a third back and to work the slot with Goodson this year. Problem for him is with a 40 time around 4.66-4.75 he has fullback speed. Compare that to Goodson who is 6 feet tall, 212 lbs and runs a 4.55 40 time. I would think Goodson will get more time at slot and would likely have more success.

It's just I feel like he has a lot more to offer than just blocking. I watched him play on saturdays all through college, and for about 3 years of his career he and brett basanez were literally a two man offense. Terrible o-line and no receivers or TE's. He is a playmaker. And me being a homer means that I need to talk him up whenever the opportunity occurs.

He is NOT a regular FB. Yes, we ALL saw him do great last season when he was in there...but some have suggested he'll start at FB over the bigger and thicker Fiametta. Sutton will be a broken down heap of rubbish if he plays an entire season at FB. Let him be our #3 RB and if Goodson can't perform well in training camp and pre-season he need not be on this team. I don't like Fiametta but at least he has size.

Well since he ran a slow 40 he can never be a solid RB (sarcasm). Its funny how that guy with a full 1/10th of a second slower outplays him. That 40 means next to nothing when you have seen what he can do against NFL competition. While I wouldn't say hes fast he is definitely fast enough to be effective as a 3rd string RB.

And Sutton played FB (where he did surprisingly well at, love this guys versatility) one game he is not a FB. He could spell Tony if he is winded or injured for a game or two but he is not a FB.

He's very versatile, seeing as he is a decent RB and can be called upon to play FB if needed. Good enough speed, good hands and such. He'll be at least a good player throughout his career. I see him returning in 2010. Not so sure for Goodson, though. No need for four RBs.
