You let Canales & Morgan bring in their QBs to develop as back ups behind Dalton starting now. Let's see if Young keeps the #2 spot with serious competition.

Cooper Rush would be an easy trade if Tepper's willing to let go of Young. RIdder is on a practice squad. Go with vet QBs to build a team until Arch Manning? Maybe Canales polishes up another 30 year old QB like Geno Smith or Baker Mayfield? Dalton and Rush were together in Dallas.

Good news is he is 7 years younger than Testaverde when he started for us. He is also well rested, and seems to be excited to have the opportunity.

Yo maybe the former Bryce optimists can get on the Dalton wagon!?! Where did all the "root for my team no matter what!" guys go? At least Dalton seems excited to play and is feeling confident?

That kind of aligns with my general thoughts. It is hopeful.

At least if it doesn't look like football it won't be a huge question mark as to why. I imagine Dalton watched the all 22 from Sunday and was like I got this. Then teams will adjust and we'll have to see if Canales can adjust etc etc

I'm exciting for dalton. The offense will look competent.

Even in the Seattle game last year the playcalling was bad, he just improvised threw it. We will see what happens with better playcalling, o line, and receivers this time around.

Dalton is being overrated because it is someone other than Bryce. "Era" lol. Raiders will win by 7ish. Our defense is still useless.

Dalton's barely thrown a ball since this, should be fresh. Bryce cannot do this. Defenses will have to play us different if we get a few of these

Dalton probably has more left in the tank than Cousins or Rodgers honestly if people are worried about his arm strength, I thought Derek Carr was a sideways move for the Saints ever since that went down as well.

His draft bio says he's undersized and wouldn't be able to run like he did at TCU.  He looks huge next to Young at 6'2" 220.

Things sure have changed in a decade

He threw 58 in one game for us.

I forgot Dalton and Thielen already had that game last year where Thielen had 145 yards and a td. Should be no problem for them to get something worked out with Diontae Johnson in a few practices.
