Does anyone else think our receivers ball out now?

I’m not saying we’re good. I’m not saying Andy doesn’t have multiple picks in a game. I am saying we have a very talented line and playmakers who have been held back and are begging to EAT.

250 yards is now attainable. A pass TD or 2 a game. First Andy needs to stay healthy or it's back to the bust. It should be much better if Young stays on the bench.

Yes, I think we see 250 yards passing against a weak Raiders secondary.

Last year vs. Seattle it was clear that Andy can push the ball downfield.

Yes. Bryce was just flat out not a NFL QB.

 

Darnold is a pro and he can actually pass the ball. Wouldn't shock me if he balls out.

I know Diontae is happy. He can still earn that pay day with Dalton under C.

I'm very curious what the offense looks like. All those upgrades like the OL and DIontae and XL actually getting a chance with a real NFL arm throwing to them could be interesting.

I still don't expect to win much, seeing as how in both games we've fallen apart before Bryce even got on the field, but I'm curious.

I think Thielen and Diontae have good games. Both WRs are just the type of receiver for Dalton - good zone buster, short/medium route runner WRs that know how to get open for Dalton to get it to them quickly. Hopefully we see some deep throws to Legette also from Dalton.

I said in another thread, I can’t find a glaring liability on offense. If Dalton can drop some 25+ yard dimes, we have some dudes that can make hay. Picks be damned. I’ll take a 2 or 3 pick day for 35 points on the board. We just need something. A spark. Anything. 

We won’t be good, but it has potential to be fun to watch, and the tone in the stadium… hope.

1 point off my point total prediction. No INTs! We’ve got very talented skill players and a mauling o line.  We have at least 2 legit receivers, a thumping RB and a beastly O line…. Our QB… never underestimate a motivated redhead. 

Feel good day today. As teams get more film things will get more difficult, but those dudes were real open. We have a lot to build on.

At least this way we can see if the rest of the team has any signs of hope. Hard to evaluate when the qb can't do anything. All starts there. I'm fine being bad to mid bad as long as the team appears to be building something.
