Bryce Young's first nine games vs the last nine games: Historically awful regression

First 9 games of his career:

198/319 (62.1%), 1,683 passing yards (187 per game), 9 passing TDs, 8 INTs

Last 9 games of his career:

148/264 (56.1%), 1,439 passing yards (160 per game), 2 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD, 5 INTs

But it's actually even worse than this. If you remove the Green Bay game - a statistical outlier - this is what you get:

125/228 (54.8%), 1,127 passing yards (141 per game), 0 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD, 5 INTs

That's right. In the last nine games, Bryce Young hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in eight of them. In fact, nearly 50% of Bryce's 11 touchdowns have come in two games: three against the Lions in week 5 (two of which were in garbage time), and two against the Packers in week 16.

This is just unfathomably bad.

If this was any other QB not taken 1st overall, they'd already be benched or cut. There's no excuse for it. This isn't about winning. It's about proving someone was right.

If he wasn’t the first overall pick, he wouldn’t have won the QB competition because he would have had to play all the time Plummer did and it would have been obvious he’s not the guy.
