The most Tepper Panthers thing that could happen is Miami signs Cam .. (no, not Cam Ward, Miami's college QB) and he dazzles w/ Hill + Waddle .. wonder what the '..Cam's arm is shot..' crowd would think of that.

Yeah these concussions are coming way too easy now. His brain is severely damaged at this point. I've heard that 3 is the magic number for the NFL. He has enough money to live out the rest of his days as a wealthy man. Time to find the next passion.

If Tua is medically cleared to return to football and decides on his own to retire like Luke did then he would give up the 124 million in guaranteed money remaining on his contract. 

If he is *not* medically cleared to return to football and essentially forced into retirement he then would have a claim to the remaining 124 million in guaranteed money. 

I would have to imagine given the salary cap implications of option 2 they would probably come to terms on some type of cutom settlement to resolve that.

Yeah I think that is more accurate. I remember this Barry Sanders rule. Not real clear on it, but they were chasing him for signing bonus when he retired 'early'.
